This place really is a gem, offering a warm, rustic atmosphere, log cabin style on a bigger scale. The menu is packed with delicious options, from the mouthwatering Alaskan halibut fish and chips to the incredible Aurora Salad—both of which were bursting with fresh, local flavors. My hubby enjoyed his burger, I loved the sweet potato fries. What really stood out, though, was their selection of tasty Alaskan beers on tap, featuring crisp and refreshing Yukon Gold, I enjoyed a lovely brow ale. The wait-staff were very friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming vibe. The outdoor seating area was a great spot to soak in the quirky vibe with the SS Tutshi just over the tracks. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Bistro is a must-visit for great food, fantastic beer. Highly recommend

Let me start off by saying the servers were fabulous and so helpful. Second, the halibut was great and seemed fresh. I loved the atmosphere and even the hot chocolate was good. Definitely a bit pricey but I think it was worth it.

Ate a great meal here in August ’22 so returned in September ’25. Fish and chips were great as was a burger. Apple pie and cheesecake were great as well. Service was great. Very nice, thanks!

We stopped for lunch on our way to Emerald Lake last Saturday. My wife and I both had the Bison burger with fries and shared a piece of homemade cheesecake. Everything was amazing! I’m definitely glad we made the decision to stop.

Good stop had the bison burger and salmon sandwich. Salmon sandwich could have had a bit more Salmon on it. But all the food was good. Great local beers are available from some breweries in Whitehorse also available. Worth the stop in if you’re in the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Food was good but mostly they have burgers, fish&chips, sandwiches. This is a good place since there are not many places to eat around Carcross. We enjoyed the food, restaurant has a nice environment. Each dish is like, around $23. Staff were very friendly

We spent a week in the Yukon, and this was hands down the best meal we had! The Halibut fish and chips was perfect. We loved the atmosphere of the place, too. We’re so happy we decided to do Carcross on our own instead of with a tour, so that we had time for a relaxing lunch here.

The Bistro is back! We finally got to try it after a long two year wait!
The bison burger was 100% bison and it was awesome!
Other food were decent as well.
They only open till 7pm, so I’d recommend you go around 5pm for early supper.
Oh, they don’t take Amex.
