Great food, excellent service and welcoming, friendly staff. This was a new spot for us and it was totally worth venturing out. The food was fresh and portions were perfect. We left very full and very happy. It’s a no frills spot, the window tint made it hard to see inside, but don’t be put off by that. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

My experience at IBEX was a good one. It was an afternoon visit for lunch so the atmosphere was quiet with the sound of Jazz music coming from the speakers. I met Miracle who was adorable! She had to be at least 2 or 3 years of age. She placed my order and made a gesture as if she was heading to the kitchen to prepare it. LOL. I ordered cajun rice and tilapia. I do not eat tilapia at all but this was made to perfection! The olive oil and mild spices made for a great taste to go along with the tilapia!
Thank you!

A great place for authentic Ethiopian cuisine! It was my first time trying any of the foods and the staff was very kind and understanding. They described dishes and let me know what to expect from the flavor profiles of each dish. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I got Beef Tebs, Doro Wot, and Gomen, along with an order of Sambusas. Every dish was so so good. I did take off stars for the atmosphere- there seemed to be some lightning issues and the layout of tables and seating was strange. From the outside the restaurant doesn’t seem very welcoming, but once inside the staff and food are more than warm and comforting!! Really enjoyed the visit! We’ll be back!

Love this place! Took my friend who’s never had habesha food. The food is consistent every single time, the owner is so sweet and checked in on us to make sure we were taken care of!

Amazing food! I loved all the distinctive and delicious flavors in the veggie combo and my friend got a fish dish that was mouthwateringly good. I don’t normally like fish, but I was ready to steal his plate!! Service was perfect- welcoming, kind, and had everything we needed. The atmosphere is beautiful and laid back. It was clearly a local hangout, but we felt comfortable immediately and enjoyed our time immensely! I love Ethiopian food and this is absolutely my new favorite!!

We enjoyed a glass of the homemade honey wine which was delicious. Next we split sambusas which were flavorful and crispy. I had the beef awaze tibs which was delicious. Our friends split the mahberawi and enjoyed it very much. I believe it was the sweet owner who was doing everything when we were there- waiting tables and cooking apparently. The food was worth the wait!

Found this little spot while I was in town. The staff is friendly and the food was tasty and well presented. I ordered the Doro Wot. It was packed with flavor and just enough spice to enhance the dish, but not so much as to make it painful to eat. The sauce was a beautiful slightly sweet tomato based sauce packed with unique spices and flavor that danced on the tongue. Floating in the dish came one chicken drumstick with meat that fell off the bone and a hard boiled egg. The perfect amount to both fill me up and have a little leftover for tomorrow’s lunch. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone interested in exploring Ethiopian cuisine in the area.
