Reviews
The main issue was with a drink order. One friend had already enjoyed two cocktails (Red Temple and Wat Room Martini) and then ordered the Silent Sin. While the presentation was beautiful, the taste was extremely unpleasant — it genuinely tasted like cough syrup. After both of my friends tried it, I tasted it as well and agreed. We notified both our server and the manager. The solutions offered were either to make it sweeter or to leave it as-is, as they do not refund or replace drinks. After it was remade, it simply tasted like sweet cough syrup.
As a bartender myself, I would not recommend the Silent Sin. On paper, the ingredients sound appealing, but in reality, the drink was undrinkable. Additionally, the manager’s comment about not being sure whether we had “read the menu or not” came across as dismissive and condescending, which made the interaction even more disappointing.
Service overall was subpar, but the food was truly spectacular. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We ordered Mt. Ebi (recommended by the bartender), Whispered Dumplings, Crispy Curry Duck, Dragon’s Temptation (also recommended), and Crimson Grilled Chicken. There was slight confusion regarding whether the chicken came with rice, which led us to order an extra side unnecessarily, but aside from that, everything was excellent.
In summary: amazing food and presentation, but inconsistent service and a disappointing drink experience.
It hasn’t been open for that long but it’s been really solid! The bar was pretty cool, really chill. Rayven was my bartender and she took care of me. She’s super dope so I would definitely go see her again.
Let me backtrack, you get there and it’s not really a lot of signage so you have to follow the “open” sign but once you get there you can’t miss it. It’s a red hue over everything so it’s really kind of seductive so to speak. Of course you can come with any type of group but at the same time, this is not a place you would go and watch a game at.
It’s free parking there, so just keep that in mind, but the parking lot is shared so you may not have all the parking spaces that you need.
It is an Asian fusion sushi type of spot so you can definitely get your sushi fix. And I talked to one of the people who are at the bar. When I went, and I talked to a couple of the wait staff, they said that the food is excellent. Looking at the menu, it absolutely is! I only came for some wine but after seeing the menu I have to go back and give it a shot! Honestly, the menu does look on the expensive side, but it looks like the quality of what you’re getting makes up for it.
You’ll come in and it’ll be really chill and that’s all I really wanted. We had a good time, the music was very good, it wasn’t overly loud or anything like that. Because the last thing you want is to be in a spot like a club where you can barely hear yourself. Talk to the person that’s right next to you. I’ve heard that they’ve had house music before playing over the speaker, I’m glad I caught it on a night where they had some chill neo soul type vibes. This was a really really good experience when it came to ambiance. If you want to get some pictures going, I would make sure you do that there because it really is a very picturesque type of establishment.
All I had was a Cabernet so I can only review on the the glass of wine and The vibes and the ambiance but all of that is top tier. I may do another add-on to this review when I get some food, so stay tuned for that. But so far this seems like a hidden gem that’s only been open for about a month or so. I can see this spot being a regular go-to for me. I don’t even know if they have a happy hour now, but that would probably set them over the top. But so far, I thoroughly enjoy this establishment and the experience that I’ve had. Solid wait staff, customer services top tier, it really has it all thus far. But I need to make sure so when I get the food, you’ll get another one out of me and hopefully it stays five stars!
Service 9/10
Ambiance 9/10
However, they nickel and dimed you which is why it’s 2 stars. I had a rice bowl and 2 drinks my date had a lobster roll and 2 drinks. Anywhere else that’s an 80-100 bill. The bill here was 180.00, absolutely absurd for that establishment. Each alcoholic drink you buy they add $8. When you ask why, they say it’s due to the ingredients they add in the drink to make the drink. My drink was already pre mixed, it comes out the bottle like that. They just added an old lime to my drink and charged me 8.00.
It’s a visit 1x visit to this establishment for me. The obvious things, they do it right. But it’s the minor things they do wrong that will prevent me from coming back.
If you love red sweet wine, try the Sangue Di Giuda — bubbly, smooth, and perfectly sweet. The Red Spoon was awesome, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps were refreshing, flavorful, and light, and the Garlic Jasmine Rice? Whew! I’ve never had smoked flavor done so right — especially with their house signature sauce.
And please ask for Lola — she was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave top-tier customer service. Highly recommend! ✨
