Incredible food, lovely staff and cozy atmosphere.
My family kept recommending this place and I now understand why! We took the pork and veggie pho for our main dish, and the portions were huge we couldn’t finish it all. Even with leftovers, it was so good that I ordered more to go for my dinner. So far the best pho I’ve had in the DMV.
Along other dish, the mango calamari salad and the spicy cucumber salad were very refreshing and tasty entrees, and the caramel flan was a perfect finale for those who love chewy texture.
We will definitely be back soon!

The restaurant is at a prime location in the heart of Bethesda, where it’s nice to walk around and city parking is available near by.
The sign is big and easy to find.
As I walked in, I can hear a nice sound system playing trendy music.
The interior is clean with very nice furniture, amazing art work on the wall, very nice bar, even the ceiling was decorated.
The service was quick, there’s no one at 3:30 PM on a weekday which was not a busy hour. The menu is clear, most Viet of food are available. I tried the Lemongrass Chicke Banh Mi. It came out in a tray with a small soup with veggies and nice broth, about a foot long. The hoagie texture is fine, the taste was wonderful. I eat finished the soup and ate a half of the sandwich it was satisfying.
Only for $12! Water was served cold and tap water was on the table.

Placed an order for 6pm pickup, had to wait almost 30 min. The price charged didn’t match the menu, and the portions for everything other than broth are small. I paid $4 (menu said $2) for 1/3 pint of noodles. I paid $2 for extra hoisin sauce and received 4 packets.

Good place to have some pho. I noticed phone was ringing all the time and people were waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes. I had spicy lemongrass soup and my friend had classic pho with spring roll. Street parking available.

First time here – and had the pleasantest delicious lunch with two adults and two kids, 6&9 y/o. PRETTY cheerful calm dining room on a windy cold day.
Pho was delicious, both the veggie and beef broth excellent, bright – and the lemongrass chicken just perfectly seasoned and grilled. Portions large. Boba choices aplenty.

I wanted to give it 4 and a half stars, but I don’t have the option. I loved the food. The banh mi of beef brisket was really good.
It came with an egg on it, I never had an egg on my banh mi. I put hoisin and siracha sauce on it. I like that. It came with a chicken broth soup with vegetables that was yummy.
The bread on the sandwhich was wonderful, the best I’ve ever had on a banh mi. I think as of 1/17/26 they only have three kinds of banh mi on their menu, but I loved my beef brisket sandwhich
There was a small but interesting bunch of guests eating at Pho Viet. Pho Viet’s bar played Asian soccer, I was sort of paying attention to that. They have a nice restaurant in Bethesda. I suggest you check this place out!

Our group enjoyed a tasty Vietnamese lunch. The menu with its glossy photos made ordering food unknown to most fairly straightforward. My lemon grass chicken atop rice noodles was delicious. Now that I am aware of this place, I will definitely return.

Pho Viet USA is a Gem. A sparkling star in the Bethesda dining corridor. Not only is their food delicious and spectacular, but its beautifully presented. I have eaten here several times over the last 6 months and loved it each time. Their wait staff is personable, respectful and very helpful. The moderate cost of the food also makes coming here a great experience.
Although I had a mishap with 1 of the delivery services they use (door dash) the Manager of the Restaurant was eager and happy to make things right. Thank you so much for making me feel valued as a patron.
After Covid, many small restaurants like Pho Viet were forced to close. I’m so happy they remain a star in this thriving restaurant community.

The food is decent and not the best pho place. Shrimp summer roll and bao bun are ok. The vermicelli doesn’t taste that good and it’s best seller according to the menu. Also little too spicy for my taste. Pho noodle soup is not bad but not enough noodles in such big bowl.

Pho Viet has wonderful food and somehow even more wonderful service! The staff here are so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. We’ve enjoyed takeout and dine in from here for years, and even catered a birthday party with their delicious summer rolls and bahn mi sandwiches. My favorite order is the shrimp dumplings and the Pho Ga (chicken soup), which is great on a cold day or when you’re sick… or just anytime you want healthy and fresh flavor! Pho Viet has been a delicious staple on Cordell Avenue for 6+ years and we will be repeat customers over and over again.
