This takeout pizza place is a hidden gem in Jefferson, Wisconsin. For locals looking for takeout pizza to take home for the family you can’t beat Gordy‘s Pizza! This is a takeout only establishment where you can choose to either take home and bake yourself or enjoy the full carryout experience and have it ready to go. For those accustomed to the finest Milwaukee Pizza restaurants, Gordy’s and Jefferson County matches the best around. The garlic bread is just how you would imagine with large thick pieces, drenched in butter with a delicious taste of fresh garlic. The classic sausage, mushroom, onion with a thin crust made, and Gordy‘s pizza ovens bake them to perfection every time. We especially loved that you can choose between canned mushrooms or fresh mushrooms. The sausage pepperoni pizza we ordered was a perfect balance. Be sure to check out their weekly specials and combinations to not only get pizza for takeout but lasagna, ravioli, and desserts and even soft drinks. It’s a great one stop shop for everything you need to feed the entire family dinner.

The crust on the pizza is very thin, but holds up well under the weight of the toppings. I do prefer a chewier crust. But the garlic bread knocked it out of the park! It seems most places have what I call “cotton candy” bread, where you could pack the whole piece in your mouth, it’s so fluffy and without body. Gordy’s garlic bread made me go “whoa” when I picked it up. And they made good use of the density by packing in lots of flavor. If they made pizza bread out of it, it would be a hit!

Gordys is my go-to pizza place in Jefferson. I love the thin crunchy crust that’s stout enough to hold the immense amount of fresh toppings. Gordy is always super nice to talk to along with all the other staff there.

Pizza and lasagna were very good, pizza was a little overcooked in my opinion but perfect for those that want a really crunchy crust. Lasagna was wonderful but the garlic bread was a bit overrated imo, it’s giant and u definitely get your money’s worth since it’s basically a full thin loaf, but not much of the garlic came out for me. Overall really good food and would definitely go again.

First off, the owners are the friendliest people you could imagine.
Secondly, the pizza and garlic bread are absolutely delicious! I hadn’t had this style of pizza for 20 years, as I had left Wisconsin, and recently moved back. They hit it out of the ballpark! The crust was nice and crunchy, the sauce was delicious, and the toppings were top notch. Garlic bread was so good. Like Mama Mia’s in Milwaukee.
It really hit the spot and satisfied a craving I’ve had for quite some time. Will be my regular pizza place moving forward, even though I have to drive from Watertown to get it. Highly recommend!!
