Today we ordered through Uber eats and our chicken enchiladas tasted more like cheese enchiladas. Also the beans were a bit off tasting. My husband and the kids said they’ve ordered via Uber Eats before and it was simular. This is most likely the last time we will order from them.

This location is way better than the one at Decatur and Cactus. I like Don Tortaco a lot, seems like a step up from Robertos. It’s always clean inside and the staff is friendly. Their beef tamales are our favorite.

Went here for asada fries and left with cheese fries.
When I called and asked to pick up fries at a later time they said I could. I ran a couple a errands and came back to pick up my fries, the cashier said that he already had made the fries and they had sat there for a while.
I have never had a place remake my order before I even get there.
Due to health code food shouldn’t be sitting there until the costumer orders. Specially for drive thru orders. Plus it’s FRIES.
This is my favorite plate at every other don tortaco, so I know how it’s supposed to look.
The way they remade my food was just plain wrong. Where do they ever put the sour cream and guac at the bottom of the plate and the cheese on top? The sour cream made everything super soggy and the guac was hotter than the fries.
Im honestly very disappointed. I lost money and didn’t even get to eat my meal.
The cashier was being condescending as if we where the ones who did something wrong.
I apologize that I wanted the food I paid for done the way it’s on the menu. Wont happen again, I’m taking my money elsewhere.

I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was soggy and wet. Literally wet. And when ordering drive thru, the lady talks back and says “WHAT??” “what do u want hello??”
So rude. Don’t go to this location. Go to Roberto’s on blue diamond and rainbow.

I’m not the type to leave bad reviews or complain but the service today was horrible and I feel the need to complain. My family went through the drive thru and ordered 2 nachos. One with no Pico, no guac, and one regular. The lady in drive thru is obviously new or just simply doesn’t understand what was being said or how to take an order. My mom had to repeat herself several times and still received the order incorrect. When arriving to the window, asked to pay $20 cash and the rest on card. The lady was so confused and looked scared like she had no idea what was being asked.ALSO not to mention she ordered a REGULAR pepsi and when getting her drink at the window she noticed it was DIET. so she asked if she could get a REGULAR pepsi and the lady comes back with another DIET. When my family got home there was nothing but meat beans and cheese on both nachos. So when arriving home she called to speak to a manager but no manager was available at the time and she informed the cook that the order was messed up and he replied “I made them!” My mom replied “yes but it’s not how I ordered it.” He said “bring it back.” And she asked if she could get a refund or credit for next time and he hung up! We have not had issues here in a long time and this has been our go to don tor taco and I hate to complain but this was uncalled for. We don’t live close so of course we don’t want to waste the gas to have to go back when the order should of been correct the first time after repeating it multiple times. It’s not hard to get two items right. I’ve worked in the fast food industry for 6 years as a manager and this is not how you treat customers. If the order taker can’t take a simple order then maybe either train them better or wear an extra headset as the cook to pay better attention to whats being ordered OR don’t have them take orders at all because I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone’s order was wrong today. ALSO hanging up on customers is unacceptable behavior and if I were your boss I would’ve fired you on the spot.

The breakfast burrito and coffee I ordered today were OK, but holy crap folks. This store isn’t in on the East side. The customers in Mountains Edge are all almost all English speakers. Hire people who can speak English. It was really difficult to place my simple order because of your staff’s lack of English skills.

This place continues to get worse daily. The burritos keep getting smaller and today biting into my burrito and eating bone twice ruined my appetite:( looks like they have a new owner who has never ran a restaurant.

The worst Mexican spot around. Guaranteed unnecessarily long waits with poor quality food. Every time, I suggest Roberto’s right down the road on blue diamond and cactus

One of my favorite neighborhood places to eat. The food is fresh, tasty, and the dining area is kept clean. The staff is friendly as well. Maria T. Le took my order and was kind enough to double check it for me. Keep it up!

Don Tortaco – the Starbucks of the Mexican food joints – there seems to be one every few blocks. But this is a good thing because I was hoping we’d get some solid eateries in the new shopping center and this is definitely a great start!
