Easily the best food and service in the Hamptons and it’s not even really close. Hats off to the LDV crew for making food worthy of the beautiful location we all find ourselves in instead of phoning it in like many other places in the Hamptons. Ravioli, Dover Sole, Steak and even the focaccia bread is better than most NYC restaurants. Also the Key Lime dessert is divine. The plates are
also true works of art. A real treat and surprise to find a gem like this here for once.

Not many restaurants in the Hamptons are open for lunch, so I picked this place for a fancy lunch. I didn’t know what to order, so I got a fennel salad, oyster assortment, and a burger. The prices are high, and the food was relatively underwhelming. However, the burger and free bread basket were some of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is amazing here, giving Hampton chic. Service was good. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch but they should have their wallet prepared.

the meal was exceptional from being greeted at the host desk to walking out. The octopus was perfectly cooked with a nice char it was moist and tender. The fennel salad was excellent and flavorful. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce perfect! the Scallops were also perfectly done and nicely seasoned, the accompanying sauce was light and flavorful. Finally we topped it off with the key lime cheesecake which was a combination of taste sensations and light, airy, and full flavored ! the wait staff were excellent and right on it, the food came out fast and paced well and the hosts were friendly and welcoming! BRAVO!

As an Italian I would recommend this place, we have been for a birthday dinner and we tried several dishes. The best was the fiorentina, cooked as the request (medium-rare) so juicy and soft, maybe one of the best ever had.
The service was great.
Highly recommend.

i first visited the restaurant and gardens for a FEED ME event, celebrating the launch of michael grynbaum’s book The Empire of the Elite. I was immediately struck with the classic beauty of the grounds , and shortly afterwards we made a reservation for dinner. it has been my favorite meal of the season.
Chef Jorge Espinoza and his team have crafted a menu that effortlessly bridges seafood, fresh produce, and coastal Italian flair. The ambiance is exactly what you expect (and rarely get) in the hamptons – a quintessential preppy, eclectic, maximalist approach with porcelain painted tableware, huge hydrangea bushes, and of course the classic white shingle style house and matching white scalloped fringe umbrellas.
We tried most everything on the menu… the sublime crudo, dover sole, great steak, bread basket were all standouts. We also had a wine pairing which was exceptional.
The Clientele ranges widely, from young couples on first dates to large groups of friend groups of every generation. it feels like they’ve done a great job of drawing younger crowd while keeping their original loyal clientele happy.
all in all, a major “hats off” moment to the management, staff and the chef for realizing a phenomenal vision.

So glad that LDV took over the Maidstone so that I don’t have to miss Scarpetta Beach. Same great food and service. It was also awesome to see Emma there. I hope she becomes manager of this location.

We walked in and were happy to be accommodated as it seems everyone is dining early these days. We decided to order the fennel salad because it’s something you don’t have everyday . It arrived like a breeze off the bay—crisp, bright, and beautifully layered. Delicate slivers of fennel danced with citrus and herbs, so refreshing in the extra warm evening.
Next came the crudo. Each bite melted on the tongue, kissed with just the right amount of acid and salt, highlighting the quality of the fish without ever overpowering it. I maybe could live without all the creamy sauce it was in the fish was as standout on its own.
And then—the squid ink pasta. A moody, dramatic plate that delivered on every level. Briny, buttery, perfectly al dente, with a depth of flavor that lingered long after the last bite. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation, just to savor. I have eaten this in many, many restaurant all overt the world and kudos to the chef- this is hands down my favorite. I wish I could replicate it at home. It’s just SO GOOOOOODDDD!!!! We topped it all off with the key Lime cheesecake with coffee jelly and foam. I was only going to eat one bit but WOWSA! Worth the extra 30 minutes on the bike tomorrow! Highly recommend!
