When you’re reading about rude staff, believe it. I’ve never encountered such a rude waitress before. She actually rolled her eyes and sighed at me before coming to ask me what i was flagging her for. They messed up part of my order, which wasnt a big deal aside from the rest of her making everything difficult. We had ordered to- go and had a drink while waiting. She practically threw us out of the place. Imassuming the same rude blonde woman that others have referred to in these reviews.
Food- just about satisfactory, but very chincy peice of fish. Food got 2 stars bc fries wete GREAT.
Drink- meh, but priced ok i guess
Atmosphere- SUPER loud, but it is a pub. And outside a little quieter and nice view

What a gem!!! We arrived next door at 10:00 am for breakfast, but were told no table service due to the amount of college students they had. We were heading home and noticed The Pub right next door. We were seated right away at a table , over looking the ocean. Lisa our server was EXCELLENT!! The breakfast was delicious!! We are so glad we found The Pub and will definitely be back

Food is excellent. Atmosphere perfect vibe for a dive at the beach. Upstairs Sunday bartender unfriendly and slow. The host advised us to go up top to eat. When we got there we found seats and the people sitting next to us told us you go to the bar to order. I went to the bar to grab a menu and the bartender rudely mumbled something about needing to be seated by the host. We stood there to order a drink then she told us it would be easier if we sat down. I told her the host is the one who directed us up here. Weird vibe, she seemed overwhelmed. Took her another 10 minutes to come over when we were literally getting up to just go back downstairs. After taking our order she never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Felt awkward to get up to ask for one after previous lecture and then at the end it took 20 minutes to get the bill after asking for it and standing up waiting for 5 minutes. It was not busy at this time.

The Pub at Matunuck Beach in South Kingstown is a down home beach bar that literally is nestled on one of Rhode Island’s many top notch beaches.
Featuring drinks & food flare that is provided by partner restaurant/bar/music venue The Ocean Mist. Legend has it, that longtime Matunuck staple The Ocean Mist is godfather to The Pub. If their is any truth to this tale, then you’re in for a real treat.
The establishment is small, but during the weather appropriate months the Pub extends into the beach, which includes a covered upstairs & patio for gatherings. Beyond the local beach watering hole, The Pub typically has events which include live music, trivia, & other assorted adult activities.
Now for the fine print… The Pub is a Pub or bar at heart, which means leave the children at home or on the beach. This is not proclaimed on any signage upon entering the establishment, but should be evident to common folk with half a brain.
Dog lovers will love this place though, as they regularly host doggy events such as Yappy Hours on Monday’s from 5 to 7PM. They even typically have various doggy treats on hand. What goes better with a beer on the beach, than having a your wet furry friend by your side?

Great spot. If you are looking for a place a bit quieter than the Ocean Mist next door, this is the place. Quick and nice waitstaff. Tasty food. Outdoor seating with a view to die for and access to the water. Perfect little spot.

PLACE IS A LOCAL BAR ONLY!!! We had a party come From ocean mist next-door, which is amazing, had an entire group upstairs Of 20 people and the bartender seemed disappointed right away that he had a lot of people coming. He then gave attitude and watched everybody very closely, even though parents and grandparents were around. Ruined a long and fruitful night for him self wish I never ordered 10 drinks. He got political btw.
