Most adorable old fashioned style ice cream parlor. Three of us got the Speakeasy Sundaes, and my son kept it simple with chocolate scoops. The ice cream, atmosphere, and customer service was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience at The Downtown Ice Cream Parlor! The service was amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the ice cream is great!
Service: everyone who helped us was exceedingly friendly! They greeted us promptly, were very cordial and respectful, and made our orders perfectly! They also were constantly busy and you could tell they cared about their job!
Atmosphere: they have done a wonderful job at creating the vintage ice cream parlor feel! From the seating, the employees attire, the music, and the decor, you can tell how much care was put into creating an inviting and nostalgic environment!
Ice cream: they serve Velvet ice cream so a Central Ohio classic. We got waffle cones which are made fresh on site and those were phenomenal! They had a good selection of regular and sugar free flavors!
Overall, the Downtown Ice Cream parlor is a great addition to the downtown Newark area and a great place to stop for a nostalgic treat!

Love being able to get a scoop in a waffle cone after dinner wandering the old Arcade. Kids working are always super friendly in here & love the nostalgic throw back of the ‘shoppe’

My granddaughter and I had a regular routine on Tuesday. Library, lunch then the ice cream parlor. We went to the library had lunch and to the ice cream only to find the hours had changed to 4pm. We have been going here regular on all days of the week sometimes with the whole family. What is the point of having nice places to go if they are only open at night. Staff, products place itself is awesome but hour are a formula for failure.

We were waiting on a table at Elliots and decied to be bad and have dessert before dinner, we are so glad we did! Super friendly staff and glad to see good businesses are coming back to the area. I hope the Arcade is a major success and the businesses thrive.
