Brooklyn Bagel understands that kind of loyalty. The space is welcoming, parking is easy, and the bagels are the real thing. I stick with a blueberry bagel, bacon, egg, and cheese. My wife leans toward the jalapeño cheddar sausage and cheese. Both deliver.
The bagels are soft and clearly fresh. The eggs and bacon are cooked the way they should be, which is harder to find than it should be. No fuss, no shortcuts.
If bagels matter to you, Brooklyn Bagel is worth the stop.
As such we are just thrilled that Brooklyn Bagel opened here in north Texas! The owner is a second generation bagel expert and it shows. Daily baked (multiple times a day I heard) fresh bagels from scratch are just unbeatable. Their egg sandwiches are amazing as they must cook the eggs differently. I expect that there will be soon lines out the door as it is already quite busy it seems like. The ambience is also just like home and we love hanging out here reading books and checking emails.
The bagels were cooked to perfection and they had a lot of toppings to choose from. If you are looking for a great bagel shop this is the place to go!
Brooklyn Bagels is not stingy with the toppings; They don’t just spread cream cheese; they architect it. I went with veggie cream cheese, because the dill cream cheese has this odd sweet thing going on. I’m all for a twist, but dill and dessert shouldn’t hang out.
Now, the star of the show in my opinion is the Williamsburg. It’s not just a bagel sandwich it’s a whole lifestyle. Smoked salmon, tomatoes, red onions, capers, cucumber, and even avocado (surprise!) all piled high on a fresh plain bagel.( I opted for plain, but you can choose any flavor that suits you) It’s basically a brunch board doing cosplay as a bagel. And it works.
The staff are friendly, fast, and somehow always know exactly how to pronounce your name when they call your order, miraculous. The dining area is clean, inviting, and won’t make you feel weird about sitting alone with three bagels “for later.” They’ve got plenty of drink options too, including coffee to make your food coma productive. And for the snackers among us, they also sell chips and their own bagel chips, which are dangerously addictive.
In short, Brooklyn Bagels is what every bagel shop wants to be when it grows up. Quick service, fresh food, and a chill vibe. I highly recommend any bagel lover to try them out, you won’t be disappointed!
