Relaxed Mexican joint with generous portions, margaritas & sidewalk seating along a bustling street.

This is a fun little restaurant with a beach vibe in the center of Pa’ia, just east of Kahului. It was a windy day, but the patio was okay enough. I had the Mahi Fish Sandwich, which they describe as “blackened” but to my relief was not Cajun-blackened but just nicely grilled. (It is possible they mixed up my order. The server recommended “blackened”, but it definitely came just grilled.) Regardless, it was tasty! They offer a happy hour, useful in Hawai’i where everything is so pricey. There are free parking lots further up the street. After dining it’s a good opportunity to visit the shops nearby. Definitely a surf vibe, as you can watch both locals and tourists park up the street and walk their boards down to the shore just a short ways away.

My husband and I were craving a lil Tex Mex at the end of our 8 night trip to Maui…we happened upon Milagros Food right after visiting North Shore chiropractic, and we’re so glad we did! Being from Houston it’s hard to impress us with margaritas, and these were amazing! Arien was a super attentive waiter and made the most helpful food recommendations. We started with the chips and guacamole. It was absolutely super fresh, and you could tell it was made same day! I ended up having the best burger on the island and my hubby had the huge pork burrito. Arien kindly gave us his beach recommendations, and we played in the surf all afternoon & caught a full moon sunset on Baldwin Beach. Less than 10 minutes away! Thank you Milagros for giving us a taste of home in paradise! I really hope the owners know what an asset they have in Arien.

We were seated right away. But it took a few minutes to get service. Once it started, the service was great. I got the happy hour tacos. They were very good. The others at my table enjoyed their drinks and food as well.

3 was only cause we sat out side and it was busy with cars. Super fast, friendly and amazing food! Great portion size 🙂 we all ordered shrimp in all our food and it was amazing!

Stopped here for happy hour on our way through. Serves Mexican inspired food but far from authentic. Margarita $5 was very large and for the price was fine, skip the salt as they just use normal table salt (I guess I expected course salt?). Happy hour snack of the day was a taco salad and for $10, really can’t complain, but was similar to something I’d make at home out of an Old El Paso kit.

We walked from a distant parking area and were very hot and, upon arrival, were required to wait in the direct sun despite there being many open tables available. We were not permitted to sit and were told to wait 25 minutes. After walking in the heat and carrying several heavy bags, it was frustrating to stand in the direct sun looking at empty tables.
We appreciated the previous first-come, first-seated approach, which allowed guests to sit down at the next open table. That system felt more welcoming and accommodating.
Additionally, we requested chairs with backs due to a disabled member of our party who experiences discomfort using stools. Although there were two available tables with backed chairs, our request was denied and the waitress threatened to cancel our order and we were not allowed to sit there. This was confusing, especially given the visible availability.
Isn’t customer comfort and reasonable requests an important part of the dining experience? The overall situation felt unnecessarily rigid and, frankly, somewhat pretentious.
We truly enjoy your establishment and have had many positive experiences, which is why this change was disappointing. I hope this feedback is helpful as you evaluate your current policies.

First time in Maui. We had Paia on our list to visit. Did not google this place but we decided to try it based on location. We LOVED it. We went back 3 times. The food was delish, the ambience was great and Arien our server was lovely.
We had the nachos, burger, fajitas and all were great! The nachos were amazing value, tons of toppings. Highly recommended
PS: the prices were reasonable for Maui.

Milagros Food Co. in Paia is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—laid-back island vibes mixed with just the right amount of lively energy.
Let’s talk about the bartenders first—phenomenal. Creative, quick, and super friendly. They knew their tequila inside and out, and their cocktail game is next-level. The jalapeño margarita was perfectly spicy, and the Coco Rita was dangerously smooth. You can tell they love what they do, and it makes a huge difference.
Now the food… wow. I had the fish tacos and honestly, they were some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside, flaky inside, bursting with fresh flavor. The mahi-mahi fajitas were perfectly seasoned and sizzling hot. Portions were huge, so we shared and still had leftovers.
The service was top-notch—friendly, fast, and genuine. The team made us feel right at home.
Whether you’re popping in for happy hour (which is awesome) or sitting down for a full meal, Milagros delivers across the board. Great food, amazing drinks, and an unbeatable vibe.

Best fish tacos I have ever had in my life. Drinks were so good too. Atmosphere was simple and we loved every minute of it. Worst part of it is that we fly home tomorrow and there is nothing close to this where we are from. You in Maui, go to Paia and go to this restaurant. You will not regret it!!!

I had the Mahi-mahi fish tacos and they were delicious! They have a nice variety of options including burgers and Mexican food. We sat outside watching and it was very comfortable and social atmosphere. Our server was very friendly, and gave us tips on where to go to see turtles. Loves this lunch!
