KHAMDEE THAI KITCHEN on merrick rd in massapequa!!! HELLLLLL YESSSSSSS!!!
Hands down the best thai food long island has seen in a long time!! Some of it was even better than we had in thailand . Award winning chef, great service and excellent food! On top of everything else our waiter/host is the proud husband of the chef and could not wait to boast about her training in thailand and her food! It is the sweetest thing ever, but the fact that the food matches the intro is what will keep you coming back. One of my fav parts was the selection of dishes which ranged from northern thai dishes to southern thai dishes ( many places only serve southern)…everything was on point!
We got the Laab salad which was the best ive ever had anywhere! Usually its dry and not flavorful enough, but it was juicy and packed with flavor!
We also got the Kra-pow puffs, cravable and delicious!
For dinner we both got the same dish, my fav thai dish ever- KHAO SOI!!! Ive beem searching for it since we had it in chiang mai- few places have it even fewer places make it well and we WERE NOT dissapointed!! OMFG! I can not rave about this place enough! Next time well do noodle dishes ans curries, and i can NOT wait to see if those are as good!!! Go. Eat. Immerse yourself in excellent thai food!

This is our newest dining spot, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. The owner and his wife, who cooks everything from scratch with all-natural ingredients, have created something truly special. The atmosphere and ambiance are gorgeous, with ocean scenes playing around you (I was told they’re from the opening of a Leonardo DiCaprio film!). We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here and enjoyed every moment. This place not only cares deeply about the community but also makes sure every guest dines with elegance.

Great experience from Daniel. Delicious fresh food. From the appetizers like the pork dumpling and the fresh papaya salad. 10/10. Delicious food and amazing service.
All around no misses. We had the duck and crispy pork in red curry and the Kha Soi. Will try the green curry next time!

Excellent thai restaurant, a strong cut above the rest. Has the classics but better – the chef uses her own spice blends and recipes. Must-try crispy duck. Had crispy pork as well in their Chinese style – very good with Chinese broccoli treated right. Previously have also had their delicious coconut rice and mango sticky rice.
The owner is very energetic. They are also trialling new chopsticks with disposable tips for sanitation. Would come again.

Living in south queens we have little to no Thai options close by. Been craving and happened to be on the island and we found this gem! I was so happy with every dish we got. We couldn’t decide between the chicken curry puff or the kra pow puff and the owner Daniel brought us both to try. They were delicious. We also ordered the basil fried rice, which was perfectly spicy & great, and pad see ew, again delicious. My cravings were truly satisfied! The owners are a husband and wife, the wife is a true authentic Thai chef and you can taste the authenticity in her food! We will be making the trip from queens more often!

I have order takeout from here a few times in the past but decided to dine in with my wife.
The Green Curry and other curry entrees are some of the best we’ve had.
Presentation of all the dishes was very nice.
The server was also very attentive.
Some of the entrees were lacking the depth of flavors we had expected especially for the price.
For massapequa standards,
Khamadee Thai is a very good value, presentation, and flavor.
The other two Asian restaurants on Merrick road in massapequa is very very lacking on all the levels for the price.

We will be back for the Curry Entrees that is for sure

Khamdee is my favorite restaurant. The owner in foh is very gregarious and engaging with many customers, although quite rough on the young staff. The service is great and the food never disappoints. I have brought many people there to share the fabulous food. Recently there was a loud conversation across several tables and at one point the owner referred to a political party as “demon rats”, which I feel was extremely inappropriate and, considering I don’t share his political views, as I’m sure not everyone does, it was very off-putting. I would respectfully suggest that if a political conversation is taking place, refraining from name calling would be appreciated.
