Both phenomenal; the broth base was rich and very clean. We tried both the chicken and pork, both of which were delicious and cooked just right.
The karaage was also great, had the perfect soft crispy outside and juicy tender chicken inside.
Yuzu soda was also yummy and refreshing! I think it has the chance of being the best lemon sour in town if a little shochu gets added
Excited to go again to try their lattes, curry, and tomato ramen!
Very friendly staff and quick service, as well as very clean. Normal prices as well, maybe on the slightly high side. ($15-$17 for ramen bowl, $3-$6 for drinks, and $5-$10 for appetizers)
We will be coming again!
We also tried the Japanese curry, and it was packed with flavor and had that perfect balance of spice and comfort. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.
The soup was flavorful and the meat was enough. We like thin ramen noodles because they match the broth.
We ordered Karaage (boneless fried chicken). They were very good and juicy.
Gyozas were really good with good amount of meat and vegetables.
We also ordered Green Tea Oat Latte! It was also very good.
Overall, this restaurant is one of the best ramen in Portland.
The only problem we had was the parking entrance, it was so tight and judging from the pole, many cars scraped it.
The food tasted great but the pork was powdery, thick, and tough. The thick noodles in the tomato ramen were the right kind… but I couldn’t enjoy eating them. I think they were overcooked as they didn’t have the chewiness I hoped for. Not as important, but the raw cheese looked a bit strange . Tasty flavor. Just a few misses.
My partner’s black garlic ramen was delicious, too. It was the pork that he didn’t like.
