This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any Chinese food restaurant. I ordered a half fried chicken with pork fried rice. What I received instead? A literal chicken spine. Not even exaggerating — the back of the chicken. No real meat, just bone and scraps. This is what they’re passing off as “fried chicken”? Absolutely unacceptable.

The food itself? Disgusting. Greasy, bland, and honestly didn’t even taste like Chinese food. I’ve eaten at countless takeout spots — this doesn’t even come close. The rice was oily and tasteless, and everything tasted old and reheated.

To make things worse, my online total was $26.39, but when the delivery driver arrived, he told me it was $27. I mentioned what it said online, and instead of offering any clarification, he asked me if I had “an extra $2” (???). When I told him no, he laughed in my face, shook his head, and walked off without saying a single word. No thank you, no goodbye. Just rude and unprofessional behavior.

The prices are outrageous for the quality (or lack thereof) of food. I would never recommend this place. Save your time, money, and stomach — go literally anywhere else.

These portions are small compared to down south. And theres barely any pork in the pork lo mein. Almost $15 with a $1 tip. Id rather go eat at an asian buffet. Never coming back here again. Also youll see the kitchen is a mess. NOT SANITARY.

Only tried the sesame chicken to compare it to the rest of New London, they have the best sauce but the chicken has more breading than chicken and they over cook it. There needs to be a balance and despite the delicious sauce, I go to Golden Wok for the #2 sauce and a good balance of meat to breading.

I’ve been ordering from First Wok for the past few weeks and today I am simply blown away at the quality of Chinese food that was delivered. I decided to try their Roast Pork fried rice, and the moment I took a bite, I was at a lost for words by all of the amazing flavors coming from the grilled vegetables, the pork, the rice. I mean I have nothing bad to say about the meal. Whoever prepared the roast pork, and gizzards meal deserves some serious recognition.

While I haven’t had any personal problems with my food, I can say that the 1 and 2 star reviews about to service and condition of the restaurant are 100% true. The delivery time takes forever even though they are only like 5 mins from me and the lady catches an attitude when you call and ask why the order they said would arrive in 15-20 mins has been missing for over an hour now… while I don’t have any problems leaving a tip I find it very unprofessional to beg your customers for tips, as a former server I 100% believe that tips are rewarded to you based on performance/service not just because your wanted to order food.

Dumplings and wontons were the most disgusting thing I’ve tried in years. If flavorless was a cuisine, it would be their food. Way too much breading and also tastes frozen. Any type of chicken you get is absolutely disgusting, not even edible. Tried this place more than three times and disappointed every single time. Do not go here for the life of you. The place itself inside looks vile. The floors and walls haven’t seen a mop since it opened probably. I don’t even want to know the state of their kitchen.

The lady that was taking my order was extremely rude and tried gilt tripping my into tipping more because “it cost me $100 a year to get the base access why can’t you leave more.” Proceed to call me and tell me if I don’t tip more she will charge my card an extra $10 for the inconvenience.

I don’t think I got a proper receipt. It just had the total. Didn’t tell me what my tax or tip was. The store front was dirty, dingy, disheveled, in poor repair and overall – outdated. Coating of dust on the walls. Which makes me think the kitchen probably isn’t clean either. I get the feeling from the front room that they just don’t care. I got pork, lo mein and spring rolls. The spring rolls were good but I’ve had better frozen from a store. I’m not sure what the long green things were in the lo mein. They resembled string beans except they looked dehydrated and rehydrated.
