This restaurant is great! It’s worth driving out of your way to find it. Ed and Angie are the most hospitable folks, and they treat you like family the first time you walk into their restaurant. The food is excellent and nicely smoked. The brisket is moist, and the ribs are perfectly seasoned. It’s so good you don’t need sauce, but you should because it’s amazing too! The sides are fantastic and taste like grandma made them. You need to go to Shotgun BBQ and experience this!

My wife found this place in a search and wanted to see what all the 5-star ratings came from. We drove an hour to get there and were glad we did. Super nice people! They took care of us like we were family. Everything we had on our visit was great. The brisket was just right and the ribs were super. If you get close to Bay Minette/Spanish Fort/Daphne it is definitely worth the drive.

Our family group took a short detour off the interstate and had some of the BEST and most tender BBQ pork, Brisket, and Chicken we have ever had! Boy was it worth it! The sides were delicious and savory also. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Well worth the drive!

Shotgun Barbecue knocked it out of The Park!! Mrs Angela and Ed setup a buffet style event for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was excellent, hot, ready and plentiful !! No one left hungry!! Friends from Hawaii were down and Shotguns went out of their way to ensure that they got a taste of some Rock’in BBQ from awesome burnt ends to fall off the bone ribs. Everyone enjoyed and Shotguns gained a lot of new patrons. I’ve known they were great since they opened there doors!! Thanks so much for the great food and camaraderie.

Ed and the whole staff are amazing! We ordered a large catering meal for my dads 80th birthday. The customer service we received was so above and beyond what I have ever experienced! So friendly, helpful, and kind. Mr Ed even made sure all food and sauces were allergen free by making a special batch of BBQ sauce just for us. I don’t even know where to begin to describe the food. Every bite was flavorful and delicious! All the meat was smoked, juicy, and tender. We had Brisket, Chicken, pulled pork, coleslaw, green salad, green beans, and Mac n cheese. They delivered to us, arrived right on time, greeted with a hug, and made sure we had everything we needed and ordered before leaving. We highly recommend shotgun bbq for all your needs. Weather you want to stop in for a yummy meal, or a catering order. You will not be disappointed.

Shotguns just catered my son’s wedding and also saved the day. The smoked chicken was out of this world, pulled pork was amazing, smoked green beans were right on target and the macaroni was the very best any of the guest have ever tasted. We also forget plates and forks and the owner told my daughter n law “I got you, go get married” he personally went to Walmart and took care of everything. I’m so greatful my son chose Shotgun BBQ and thank you guys for the gourmet quality food and doing an outstanding job

We were in Bay Minette visiting family and we were looking for a good place for my birthday dinner and saw the great reviews for this place. WOW! Great hole in the wall BBQ restaurant! The brisket was perfect and the banana pudding was outstanding! I can guarantee the next time we are in Bay Minette we will be back again. I do have to say, the owners are as awesome as the food! As soon as he heard we were from Michigan, ha had to come visit and spend time with us.
