Excellent vittles!! A real down home small town diner with big homemade taste! The ham and eggs are lip smacking good. I’m pretty sure those are homemade hash browns. Pancakes as big as plates! This is real country, grandma cooking, delicious, hot, fresh meals. Coffee could stand to be a bit stronger but that’s just my preference. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Prices are really good considering the big portions. You won’t walk out of here hungry! 5 stars! I’m sad to say I forgot to take pictures the food was so amazing I totally lost my mind lol. I’ll be back and will definitely post some pics in the near future.

Wow, what a treat! I came in for my first time the other day and had the double cheese burger special. It was so good it threw me for a loop, even the blue cheese was good. I’m definitely looking forward to trying more items from the menu. Thanks Hilda’s!

This is indeed a hidden gem on the back roads of Kansas! We happened upon this cafe while staying at the nearby Lake Wabaunsee & wanted to go someplace close for breakfast! The food was “down home cooking”, delicious and large servings! Our waitress, Annette was very courteous, friendly, professional and took care of every request…even the pickiest of kids ate (a pancake with chocolate chips)!! If you’re in the area, check out Hilda’s Diner – YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!

I stopped in here on my way through on a motorcycle trip. They were serving lunch but offered to make breakfast if I wanted. I had the cheeseburger wrap and corn nuggets. Both were well prepared. The staff was very friendly and the place filled up with regulars for lunch before I left. This place is obviously a beloved local favorite. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it. I will definitely remember this place if I come back through.
