Teddy Roe’s offers classic speakeasy ambiance and vibe without the theatrics or pretensions of the modern American speakeasy movement.
Mixologists Jessica O’Brien and Arcy Law create classic cocktails with a twist. Jessica is a NM native who learned her craft in San Francisco. She is passionate about creating Teddy Roe’s where great service and great cocktails are the norm. Arcy has worked in restaurants since he was 19 and has been dazzling guests with his cocktails and style ever since. After two years at M’tucci’s Italian, he is bringing that style and commitment to Teddy Roe’s.

What an awesome little place! This alley entrance was enthralling and once we were inside we were wowed by the moody dark decor that set the mood for the evening.
We sat next to a “fire” in a cozy corner, the staff was super friendly, and our server suggested the perfect weekly special to entice the taste buds.
They had a food menu, and we were impressed and confused by their offerings
Their charcuterie board was fantastic, beyond expectations in terms of the quality of ingredients at this spirit centric space.
The bag of chicharrones that looked like they came from a gas station that we had to untie and eat out of the plastic bag was such a departure from the elevated experience brought on by the surroundings lol.
But they were still great!
The drinks were the key to the great evening, and they kept coming, and they were each unique in flavor and aroma.
And what a cool bathroom! Definitely selfie worthy.

Next time you’re in Albuquerque, do yourself a favor and seek out Teddy Roe’s Bar—a true hidden gem. Tucked behind a bakery and accessed through an unassuming alleyway, the secret entrance is part of the adventure. Once inside the cozy, intimate space, ask for Arcy, a master mixologist who crafts the most incredible martini flights. Feeling adventurous? Simply name your spirit and whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, sour, or smoky—then sit back and let the magic happen.

I booked a table for my boyfriend’s 40th birthday . I was googling surfing looking for the perfect spot when I came across Teddys . It was a place I knew we both hadnt been to and the speakeasy was the winning factor . After reading about it it said it was a quiet , intimate atmosphere. Being that I had been to Vernon’s speakeasy expecting it to be similar , however it was not . As we walked into this tiny little “bakery” all we were told were to read to “rules” before entering . Once entering it was extremely loud with people walking around table to table as if it were a sports bar . No one was in dress code . We didn’t get any kind of cool back story or anything . Not the mention the place is TINY . Our waitress was nice but was Wearing fabletics leggings and a tank top. No one or nothing was playing the role as to other speakeasy’s i been to. The food menu contained of only 3 main dishes to choose from. Food was a bit different but not terrible . And the drinks were good . Over all I did not enjoy the experience and would never recommend or return.

This is the place! Out of all the speakeasy style bars in Albuquerque, Teddy Roe’s is by far the best. The space is a little tight, but it is very well done.
The service is amazing, even when they are full and busy. The drinks are very well done and not too sweet. The staff is more knowledgeable than any other bar and their recommendations are usually spot on. There is not even a close second in Albuquerque, although most of the M’Tuccis are very good.

Everything was fantastic! Drinks were amazing, and the service was top notch. It’s a tiny place so it seems kind of crowded, but service is handled perfectly, drinks are made skillfully, and you can tell it’s a real labor of love, like you’ve been invited into someone’s home, almost. We were there for comedy night which was definitely not what we’d counted on when we decided to check the place out, but we were so glad we caught these dudes. (PS, in general for the ABQ scene, more lady comics, lol.) Definitely a highlight of our visit.

Teddy Roe’s is nothing short of magical.
I’ve been here 5 times now and I have not had a single drink or thing to eat that was short of stellar. They just don’t miss, and all for reasonable prices, too.
The staff is so friendly and they make the most amazing drinks. They know my tastes better than I know them myself.
The vibe in there is unmatched. They have live music more often than not and it perfectly matches the atmosphere. I generally hate lave music but the artists at Teddy Roe’s have changed my tune.
This place simply has no business being as incredible as it is.

Overall good experience, love the atmosphere. It wasn’t a busy night, had to wait a long time for drinks (though I do understand they want to drop all drinks at a table together). My major disappointment was that I ordered food to go and the tater tots got left out. Just proving, it doesn’t matter how much you pay – your tots aren’t in the bag. Majorly disappointing, considering I was going to leave a review regardless of my precious tots being left behind.

The champagne room is amazing and well worth the $100. The staff here are chill and professional, and make fantastic drinks. Absolutely my favorite speakeasy in the 505.
