What a wonderful experience it was to choose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday! There aren’t many restaurants in the state of Connecticut serving authentic Honduran food. It was beyond delicious. Very warm friendly atmosphere the minute you walk in. The owner and her family made my day special. I’m definitely coming back!

They seem to be short staffed as they had one server working. However, the server Mabel did a fantastic job and provided us with excellent service.
The food was worth the 40 minute wait. Even though the kitchen seemed to be backed up, they did not sacrifice quality for speed.
Portions are huge and delicious.
Mabel, keep up the good work!

This is the best and only Honduran restaurant in Connecticut. I was greeted with enthusiam upon entering the restaurant and treated like family, by the staff. The entire staff and family are such great people! I enjoyed their calamari, fried fish platter and assortment of jugos (juices). The food is well seasoned, made with love and cooked to perfection. Thank you for the delicious food and incredible hospitality!

We came all the way from Jersey to enjoy this food it was absolutely delicious! If you’re a catracha or simply just enjoy yummy comida hondureña this place is your next go to! From the baleadas, the tajadas y pollo frito, pescado frito, agua de jamaica… you can see where I’m going with this. Everything is made from scratch and you can taste the love that it’s made with. The staff was amazing. The owner and the servers were super attentive to us. We will be back for sure!

Food is okay, definitely overrated. The staff and owner’s attitude don’t help things. They don’t apologize, take accountability or appreciate people’s patience when it comes to the obvious ignorance they have. The girl who greeted us when we walked in said she was going to be our server. According to her she would be right over, but instead had us wait 10-15 minutes before coming over to grab our drink order. I would get it if it were busy, but we were the only other table there. The table before us already had their drinks and looked like they were just waiting for their food. Took 30 minutes to make 2 pupusas as an appetizer. Over an hour for two baleadas and a Pollo con Tajadas, which the server couldn’t even be bothered to bring all to the table together. Brought out the pollo con tajadas, then quite literally took over 5 minutes to bring out one of the baleadas which almost felt like the food wasn’t even ready all at the same time (again something that could be resolved with simple and polite communication). Another 10 minutes go by before the second baleada comes out, which is when the server gets annoyed because for several reasons I already don’t want the second baleada. We waited too long for the food itself to come out, and the shameless attitude about this contributed. Of course I’m not gonna wanna eat anymore. As we’re checking out she has the second baleada I didn’t eat still on the bill and didn’t say anything but rather almost had us pay for it. Just pulled up the total waiting for us to pay with our card. I asked to double check the bill and I see the extra $15 tacked on. She doesn’t even feel sorry about it. No apologies. No remorse. She just had the owner come over to comp it off. Not even an apology or question from the owner about the experience or anything. No one there seems open to taking criticism. Like I said, I would get it if it were a pretty busy restaurant, especially when we walked in. I would even get it if she were a new server and was still getting the hang of things yet communicated in a more humbled manner. But there was only one table when we got there and then another one that came in waaay after us, which means 3 tables total in the almost two hours it took for them to serve us. 2-3 people picking up takeout in those same two hours. 2-3 servers on while we were there. You’re not busy or undertrained enough to be careless and have common courtesy.
Being pompous and arrogant is a choice.
Mind you this is only the tip of the iceberg. There’s a lot more that’s happened. I’ve come in before too and had other experiences that contributed to the review, but this was my last straw.
P.S. the “REALITY” of the owner replying less than an hour later and writing as if we ever even had an interaction for her to know anything is hilarious ma’am, how do you read my review and still choose not to explain how you as a business owner let people sit there for no less than 45 minutes waiting for food like a lot of other 1 star reviews have mentioned on here? Oh, right. In your warped version of it, that “reality” just doesn’t happen to be convenient for you, does it. You tell me. You were in the kitchen just about the entire time. Does it make sense for you to have 1/2 or 1/3 people eat at a table while the others just sit there? You’re right. Most likely not the server’s fault. The problem you just confirmed starts with you. No accountability. No apologies for anything as THE business owner. Cameras? Great! Do yours have an x-ray vision on so you can see how full you assume I got with the “first course”? Please, give me a call when you can show me that and how I “walked in with a very bad mood” on my face, then how I interacted with your server. I can guarantee you it has nothing to do with what she looks like. Nice try tho.
I’m not a therapist either. I don’t expect one in a server, but it seems like you definitely need one considering how you’ve replied to the other one star reviews. Which is why I won’t even bother replying to the rest of the blasphemy you decided to write.
GOD BLESS YOU!
