Exceptionally good food. A must visit for anyone craving Caribbean food. I have been going to this spot for years and it continues to impress. The soup and the oxtail are a must. Good prices too

The food is very good. Well seasoned and good portions. There’s a good variety to choose from but it’s not always available. Rasta pasta & shrimp pasta are only available in the evenings along with other varieties of seafood.
Service is hit and miss. Some are great with it and others…. Not so much. Overall, if you like good Jamaican food you should check this place out

Food is average but prices on the higher side. The women servers rather be on their phones than actually serve customers. As Jamaicans we already have A reputation for bad service in restaurants. I was waiting for 10 mins with no other customers in the establishment. Please do better and don’t let money walk through the door.

Arguably the best Jamaican takeout restaurant in the Bronx! All selections are consistently good, I never a disappointment. In addition to the norm, Jamaican cuisine, the chef will step out of his boundary and offer some very interest in in flavorful entrées a great spot for good food, music and vibes.

This Jamaican Restaurant is my favorite place in Mt. Vernon to eat Caribbean Cuisine. The food is always Hot & Ready.. the flavors are always on-point, and their selections of beverages never disappoint. My favorite dishes that keep me returning are the Oxtail, The Stewed Chicken, and the Curried Chicken.

I must say, this restaurant is the best Jamaican food I’ve tasted in awhile. This is my second time ordering from this restaurant and I give it a 10/10. The food was tasty and they actually listened to the instructions I had put on Ubereats. I had their garlic shrimp the first time ordering and it was delicious and their sweet chili chicken I mean … the picture speaks for itself. It was so delicious . I will order again and again. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work.

This place was ok. I like to see Black owned businesses in predominantly Black neighborhoods, so that’s a plus. Upon walking in, the aromas of all the food and what smelled like chicken frying turned my stomach. That’s not necessarily their fault, it is a restaurant, but something about the presentation felt worn and like it could all use some refreshment. The staff was courteous. I ordered curry chicken with white rice, vegetables and a fried dumpling. Overall it was tasty but the remnants of the oil it had been cooked in overshadowed the flavor a few times. Not sure I’ll be back, but I enjoy the lunch for them most part.

I heard great things about the fried chicken, of course the day I go it was dry.

The food has improved since the move from New Rochelle but there is still major room for improvement. I would rate the food a 6 (being generous). As far as the night life it get very lively at times. If you are attending a event I would recommend you take a taxi as the parking can sometimes be a huge pain. This is a more of a grab and go location for the food no seating available and honestly not good customer service either so you wouldn’t want to stay even if they did.

The food tastes ok however, the staff is very slow, no smile on their faces, not welcoming to customers. They do not appear to be enthused to engage the customers. Their customer service sucks. The weather is hot and there’s no air condition for them behind the counter nor out in the lobby, sitting area for the customers who have to be there waiting on the lackluster service. Do better, we are sure you’re capable.
