So, the first thing I noticed was the disgusting ketchup bottle that looks like it’s been refilled 100 times, which I believe is against the Illinois health code.
Illinois health codes (77 Ill. Adm. Code 750) generally prohibit “topping off” or refilling existing ketchup bottles, requiring instead that condiments be individually packaged or served from sanitary, washable containers to prevent contamination. Refilling, or “topping off” risks creating bacteria growth at the interface of old and new food.
Also, our daughters chicken nuggets were extremely overcooked.
I don’t think I’ll be returning any time soon,.our at all.

An awesome little café in a quaint little town of Greenville, IL, right on the square across from their historic courthouse.
The staff are very attentive and friendly. I had to skip out to go testify in a court case, and they watched my food for me and heated it back up for me, when I returned.
They have a great selection and their food is very good.
This is a great place to eat and visit, or grab a quick meal, before going to the antique movie theater just next door on square.
Every time we come to IL, we make a special trip just to eat here.

Went about 2pm. Service was down right awful. Server was rude. We sat ourselves and since we waited about five minutes without service, we got up and got our own menus. (This should have been our cue to leave.) She handed me all the plates to pass out because she forgot who ordered what. She also had an attitude when we asked for drink refills. The order of onion rings pictured were $10 and about the size of quarters/fifty cent pieces. We ordered onion rings, french toast, and two orders of biscuits and gravy. Took over 30 minutes to get our food, and with waiting to place our order and waiting for our check, we were there for about an hour.
One other person was in the restaurant eating when we got there, no one else ever came. Now we know why.

If a movie producer was building a set that included a classic diner, this would be if. And it was authentic. It wasn’t someone trying to create a typical diner. The decor, the setting, the atmosphere, the menu, the good were all good. I had the western omelet whish was excellent. Highly recommend. My sons both had waffles they said were good but nothing special. Service was good, and the food was timely. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I come here often. The food is amazing and the owner takes pride in his job. When he’s in I always see him come out and socialize with the customers and ask how everything was. Service is great, and prices are reasonable. Not too high. I love the breakfast, especially the cinnamon French toast!

One of my absolutely favorite places to come for breakfast or lunch. They treat you like family and if you come in enough they’ll know your order better than you!

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. The waitress was rude. The other waitress gave a couple sweet tea that they didn’t want after the woman took a drink from the sweet tea and told the waitress it’s not unsweet the waitress took their drinks then poured the glasses of sweet tea back into the sweet tea container. That’s gross!!! The food was horrible. Never will we go back there again.
