I give A + bathrooms are clean, for me is very important it show’s how clean you are.
The chicken sticks here are probably my favorite in the Poconos. They don’t use the red dye and make them look all fake, it’s just quality meat from the broiler. When you’re trying to go low carb, grabbing an order or two of those on the go is awesome.
The wonton soup is just okay, I wouldn’t order it again. The broth has mild flavor and the wontons themselves were just alright.
The scallion pancakes are dense. They’re practically like regular pancakes. I’ve eaten at quite a few traditional Chinese restaurants and these are not the same that you’d get from one of those places. They don’t taste bad, just a different item altogether.
The chicken and broccoli is pretty standard, but good. I’d get that again. The General Tang’s is also middle of the road but you wouldn’t be disappointed with it if you enjoy General Tso’s.
It used to be much better years ago. The previous owners sold the business and the new owners jacked up all the prices while cutting back on portions and the amount of proteins. They get away with this by coasting on the reputation of the previous owner and knowing they’re the only Chinese restaurant in Wind Gap. Trust me and take the 5 minutes to drive to Pen Argyl, Bangor, or Nazareth for other Chinese that is much better, less expensive, and actually gives you a pint or quart worth of food.
I ordered online and it submitted my order twice. They not only noticed, but were on top of it. I didn’t need to stop in or call. They had already fixed the duplicate order issue when I walked in to pick it up.
Tonight we got it for the first time in months…the white rice smelled bad and was completely inedible. The spring rolls were mush and tasted off. The pan fried dumplings werd deep fried and dripping grease. We will never order here again.
This place served some great food. Went for lunch on 8/15/2024 and it was horrendous! I had my usual pork lo-mein and my wife had the beef and broccoli with steamed dumplings on the side. We got more fried rice than we did our entrée. The dumplings were decent but served straight soy sauce instead of traditional sauce. Broccoli was sour and seriously undercooked. More went into the trash than the table. Never EVER coming back here!
