Antica Nova is such a wonderful Italian restaurant. The food is always incredible. It’s very authentic, and served in generous portions. You can really tell how much care goes into every dish.
It’s also a great place to host events. They have several private rooms that work for all group sizes, making it easy to plan anything from a small gathering to a larger celebration.
They even have cooking classes. It’s such a fun way to learn about their menu and experience Italian cooking firsthand. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food, a warm atmosphere, and a place that offers something a little extra beyond the typical dining experience.

Wow, what an incredible night my friends and I had celebrating! The atmosphere was simply magical, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming! ❤️ Our cocktails were out of this world! My friend ordered a dirty martini, and she couldn’t stop raving about how fabulous it was, thanks to the amazing bartender Axel ! Our waiter, Seit, was a gem! He helped us navigate the menu with his awesome recommendations. The restaurant itself is gorgeous! They’re planning to add outdoor seating soon, and that’s going to be such a lovely addition! Can’t wait for our next visit!

Authentic Italian food. Grilled Cesar was good, could have used more dressing. The chef came out to check on us and chat about the food. Helped with recommendations. Will go back! Ambience was beautiful.

This place is amazing!! The food is as good as being back in Italy. The app – burrata melted in my mouth, they shaved the prosciutto right in the middle of the restaurant (just like Italy) with fabulously fresh cantaloupe and basil (delish!!)
Then came dinner: The pasta was light and the bolognese- oh my! My hubs had the veal parmigiana- yum! The portions are plentiful and as you can see from the pics (after we ate – forgot to take pics before we ate the main dish), enough to take home! Our service (DJ) was delightful, she made it very welcoming. Had the opportunity to see Anthony (proprietor) – a lovely surprise since we’ve had the pleasure of dining in establishments he has been a part of and truly brings his expertise and passion of fabulous food. A must try, we will definitely be back many times to try all the other amazing dishes!
You must leave room for the dessert – a list that has me wanting to try every single one – we ended up trying the limoncello olive oil cake, which did not disappoint!!

First of what will be many visits at this beautiful restaurant. We were invited out to an early dinner with friends and had an incredible time. It started with the bread and amazing garlic herb oil and then we ordered a round of drinks (east side Negroni/Bellini/blueberry drop) and appetizers (Calamari/shrimp + Caesar salad + mortadella burrata with a pistachio paste).
We were also brought out several additional chefs special dishes to try (mussels with potatoes and penne with saffron sauce – gnocchi in pesto). For main courses we ordered the seafood risotto in lobster sauce/ pollo fontina e funghi/veal parmigiana – it’s hard to pick a favorite because everything was incredibly fresh and very delicious. If you can believe it we still made room for dessert (tiramisu, Zeppole, strawberry cheesecake).
We ate so much but it wasn’t heavy. Generous portions allowed us to have leftovers which were promptly packed up. Service was attentive but not overwhelming; food was well paced even after the dinner rush came through. We have plans to return for a birthday celebration and family dinner soon. Cannot recommend enough!

I called a day or two prior (can’t remember when) trying to make a reservation but I knew I was going to be by myself. I was told that I could walk in and sit at the bar and that’s what I did. But first when walking to the door it’s smelled so good and I felt in my soul this was going to be a great experience! I ordered a blueberry drop and it was great! The service was great! I wanted the full experience! So my appetizer was the calamari. It was perfect! I had the NY strip with the bone marrow. Now the bone marrow in itself was nothing special but the NY strip, the veggies, potato’s, and sauce were perfect! Couldn’t ask for anything tastier. Then I ordered dessert! It was also good! I really enjoyed the food and I am hard to please but I was pleased! I would go for any and every occasion!

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation of a friend. It is located behind the San Marino Club in Troy, MI.
From the moment we walked through the door the stage was set for a wonderful evening. We were seated in front of a beautiful fireplace, and the vibe was great. We knew we were in for a fine dining experience. Our server Luis was amazing, and all of the staff there was attentive and helpful. The prices were much lower than I was expecting for a fine dining restaurant (I have spent more at Bravo). I am glad we went early, because when we left the restaurant was full, I would recommend a reservation. This will definitely be a place I recommend to friends, family, and out of town guests. Every dish we had was amazing, and the portions were generous.

Definitely need reservations bc at 5pm they were fully booked for the whole night. Sat at the bar and was not disappointed! “New antique” was a great experience (maybe translated “new old” ?) when you walk in here, and hear the italian pop music you’re transported to milano! Really authentic italian and that means 5 ingredients or less for every dish. Not my favorite but definitely authentic (besides the bread and oil before food because NOWHERE that i can think of in italy offers that AT ALL)… steak was cooked correctly, and the coffee after the food was great too! The packet of sugar was from italy was that was a nice touch too ❤️ … italian is not my top 10 for food options so i wont be back BUT if you like italian food and italian vibes this is your place! Really felt like i would look out of the window and see the beautiful duomo! Only thing kept me grounded is that everyone spoke English … great experience to treat myself for a night out, and thankful for the good service even though the bartender was handling everything all by himself until i was done with everything. Fast too… in and out in 90 minutes (very American style here)… and i do eat fast* … buon appettito a tutti❤️❤️❤️ … and not sure who that statue is outside… owner was stressed and rushed when i met him

We had an excellent dinner in this beautiful room. It’s located in the back of a parking lot off of Big Beaver, and basically invisible from the road. An odd location. The building is very elaborate kind of like a castle or villa, and pretty. The interior of the restaurant is very upscale and stylish, very polished, with really nice plates, silver, glasses, etc.
You’re immediately given fresh garlic bread with olive oil with garlic and cheese for dipping. It was excellent.
We had the calamari/shrimp appetizer, and while the quality was good, the prep was a bit dull – we would have liked more hot peppers, etc. But it was good. Salads were fantastic, fresh with lots of variety and the dressings were awesome.
The entrees were excellent. We had 2 pasta dishes and a branzino, and everybody loved it all. Desserts were fantastic, as were the drinks. Prices were reasonable for the quality and atmosphere. Service was perfect.
We pretty much loved everything, and hope to come back soon. Really nice place, and IMO the best Italian in the area.

My family and I attended Antica Nova for my sister’s birthday dinner. To begin, the restaurant itself was beautiful and charming. In addition, our waiter was very polite, friendly, and had a great sense of humor! He gave us wonderful recommendations as well. We were well taken care of by everyone! I ordered the Pollo Fontina E Funghi, and it was so delicious! I ate almost my entire plate. My family members ordered many dishes off the menu, but the images pictured are my dish, the Pollo Al Prosecco, and the Gnocchetti Al Piacere. I tried their dishes and I enjoyed them very much. The owner, Chef Anthony, was so kind and generous to pay a visit to our table and pay for our birthday dessert! The dessert was a delicious pistachio tiramisu. I don’t remember the name, but all I know is that it tasted amazing! The entire night was lovely filled with delicious meals and a charming atmosphere.
