T to his place won’t wow you over with anything fancy and yes, it seemed overpriced but it was damn good. I had the brisket sandwich and baked beans. The brisket was solid and the baked beans had a nice kick to it. I didn’t mind overpaying for good food. I would say eating outside there and the bees were an issue, but in fairness, there seemed to be bees everywhere we went in South Dakota on this trip. This place may surprise you so try it if in Keystone.

We ordered Burnt Ends and Baked Beans to go. After paying higher than normal prices, we were on our way. After leaving the area, we realized our “burnt ends” was actually a sandwich. We saw other reviews similarly. The sandwich was solid and the beans above average. The pricing and communications of what we were actually ordering was problematic. Nice folks and we were treated well otherwise.

It was good considering the price. I think it’s kinda pricey because I mean brisket isn’t cheap, right? Not only that but Buffalo meat is a delicacy for some Native American tribes. So…? ‍♂️ Only bad part was that the potato salad tasted like it had sour cream in it (according to my mom).

Terrific BBQ chicken and brisket – highly recommend getting it with a salad full of fresh veggies including snap peas, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, etc. Meat was flavorful and smokey even without sauce. The staff were also delightful to chat with and attentive! Would definitely recommend.

Abusive behavior from the owner. I was walking in with my 4 month old baby asleep in my arms; he shoves his arm into my daughter’s body pushing us out of his way as he continues to haul food from his Volkswagen.
After my friend and I telling him to not do that, he begins to yell at us denying the whole thing. This place is unsafe for families and we will not be coming back.

Not a bad place to stop for lunch before hitting up the crowded MT. Rushmore site. They offer several types of cooked briskets, chicken and pork. Service is friendly but the seating is very cramped pushed together. I tried the brisket and the ribs and they were decent.

I apologize about this long review but there are so many things to complain about! I love a good bbq place and was pretty excited when stumbling across this place while on vacation. Me and my family sat down and were kind of surprised by the very high prices but I figured it was just because this place is in a tourist area. I went ahead and ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw along with a Dr Pepper. The drink was so small for 3$ as it only took 5 sips to drain and I had to ask atleast 3 times to get a refill because the owner kept forgetting. The worst part of this place is that EVERYTHING is microwaved right in front of you!! I figured for a 14$ sandwich it would be quality food but as soon as I saw the frozen tube thrown into the microwave and squeezed out of the tube onto a bun I felt sick to my stomach. the pork was very dry, room temperature, and flavorless. The only way you can get any flavor is to drown the food with bbq sauce. And lastly the coleslaw had absolutely no flavor to it not even the sauce on it had any flavor plus it was very soggy. And to top the whole experience off a woman in the table behind us started choking on a piece of bone in her sandwich which was only made worse by the owner begging her not to make a “big deal” out of it and it’s a “normal thing” that happens at most places. I am very disappointed with this place and highly discourage people from wasting your money here.

Wow, what a Buffalo burger! Toppings served on the side so you can decorate it just right. I couldn’t be more pleased to give a tip. The inside needs better decoration, but it didn’t take away from the meal. I had my burger in under 5 minutes, and there was always someone checking out. Adequate seating. It’s at the top of Keystone. Enjoy!

The best lunch anywhere!! Delicious & tender smoked buffalo ribs that can’t be beat. I have trouble chewing & especially meat because of radiation therapy for cancer & these ribs we’re the most tender meat I’ve ever ate. No microwaved meat for us. Our sides were fresh & delicious , too. The owner was very personable a delight to talk with.
I cannot for the life of me understand the negative reviews. If we ever get back to Rushmore again we will be stopping by Reds for lunch!!

Buffalo ribs had a real good flavor but we did add a little BBQ sauce that was on the table. Two large ribs. Get the Baked Beans they are delicious! The Buffalo Burger had a good flavor, too. Don’t order the coleslaw. It was flavorless. Order the Baked Beans they are fabulous.
