Walked in, and the place was EMPTY on a Sunday evening. We got seated and immediately noticed the dining room was stuck in the early 90’s felt like it hadn’t been updated in over 30 years. The walls were dirty and all scratched up. Paint is cheap, I never understand why business owners can’t see what everyone else sees. Look around, don’t you go to other restaurants ever to see how they look or to get inspired??
The chairs are unfortunately part of the decor problem so ugly and dated from 30 years ago.
They handed us paper menus, which said a lot. But I wanted to give them a chance.
The food came out. We ordered the spare ribs, which seemed like they were nooked in a microwave part of the meat, which was dry and HARD.
The main courses came out, and the portion was decent, but the flavors were very dull and nothing to write home about. Barely any veggies and so much sauce. The sesame beef dish and the pinnapple chicken dish lacked flavor, didn’t taste fresh. Even the pinaples in the chicken dish had no flavor and didn’t even taste like pinaples. Just tasted like the mediocre sauce it was covered in.
The service was ok until the food came out, then a party of 6 came in, and it was like we no longer insisted. I kept trying to get the waiters attention to get a refill. No one ever came to check on us until we were finished. That is when the cook came over and asked how everything was. I wasn’t gonna offend him, but everything being done at this place is completely outdated and stuck in the 90s, including the cooking.
People want fresh healthier options — go to other Chinese restaurants that have updated decor and menus. If you want to stay in business you have to stay above the competition, not behind it.
Good spot for tourists as well, a place that the locals go to.
My favorites here are Sweet & Pungent Shrimp, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and Chicken with orange flavor.
Soups are great too… War Wonton or Hot and Sour.
Average dish is around $9-11. Specialty dishes are $12-14.
TRAIN UR EMPLOYEES!!
NO RICE comes with entrées for online pickup. Where is this information? It is nowhere except in the mouth of a rude employee.
When I picked up my online order, I specifically asked if white rice was included with entrees. The cashier said yes it was! Of course, when I got home there was no white rice with the entrees.
So I called.
After 10 questions, the person on the other side of the phone finally said no rice comes with online orders. I told her my story. The phone went silent.
I said, are you there? She repeated no rice with online orders. She said you can always call our number on our website if you have questions. I said I did better than that I was face-to-face with your cashier and I asked her and she told me rice comes with the entrees.
The woman on the other side of the phone says, what do you want me to do? I’m just a server. I said how about telling your manager that the employees are giving out the wrong information and if rice doesn’t come with online orders it should be clearly communicated on the website.
The call ended. I received no apology no empathy and just had this experience with a rude woman server.
