El Guero Tacos is all about bringing the true taste of Mexico to Punta Gorda. We’re a laid-back spot that’ll make you feel like you’re eating at a small taco shop back in Mexico — simple, delicious, and made with love. Whether you’re here for tacos or birria, we treat everyone like family. Come in, and enjoy the flavors we grew up on.

Best tacos in town! Friendly staff, a killer taco Tuesday deal (5 tacos for $10), and if you need a margarita or cerveza after a long day, and they’re all long these days, you’re good.
Didn’t have room for churros or tres leches cake this time, but we’ll be back!
And, if someone in your group isn’t in the mood for tacos for some odd reason (everyone loves tacos), send them next door to Harvest & Rolls, another Punta Gorda gem.
But really, look at these tacos. The homemade green (mild) and red (hot) sauces are also delicious. Eat more tacos!

This is some of the best Mexican food hands down. You’re not a visitor, you become family when you enter the door. I was there 2 days in a row this week and will be back for Taco Tuesday. The churros we always fresh and delicious too

Food is always on point, some of the best tacos out there… simple and delicious! Always great for a quick bite or just a nice, casual meal. Atmosphere, it is what it is… trust me, you don’t need it! All you need to know is that the food is fresh, inexpensive, delicious, courteous, quick and clean.

I was visiting from the East Coast of Florida, and being a native Mexican. I was hoping there would be a good taco place around. Well, I can say that I definitely found the spot. The space is a bit small so we had to wait for a table, but that was OK once we were seated we got our food pretty quickly. A family of four ordered a quesadilla, which was very cheesy and a very decent size. We also ordered a quesabirra which was cheesy and packed with meat and the consome that came with it was piping hot. We also ordered a burrito campechano which was huge. My husband could barely finish it off. I ordered three tacos, a campechano, birria, and carnitas. Everything was very delicious, but the Carnitas tacos were insane. All the food was great. We had absolutely no complaints about the service. We all also ordered large Agua Frescas which were at a special happy hour price. I ever find myself in Punta Gorda again. I will only be coming back to eat here.

Such a hidden gem! The best tacos I have ever had, they make their hot sauces home made too and I would buy that to take home if they sold it! We were just visiting but came 3 days in a row, I love the birria queso tacos, definitely worth a stop!

The food is great, come here sometimes once weekly. As I work just down the street and my office and I tend to do big orders until today where I did $100 order requested 3 sides of sour cream on top of the sour cream that should’ve came with my entrée quesadilla and the sour cream that should’ve been inside of the two burritos that were ordered which it didn’t. When we realized that our order had no sour cream, I inconveniently had to go back once I got there. I was met with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I had my receipt shoved in my face and asked where my sour cream was when I explained to them that I ordered it online and that I paid $100. They told me that they could only give me two additional sour cream when I requested 4 in total absolutely will never be back strictly because a customer service. Guess it’s Isabel and Annabel‘s now.

The food tastes very authentic! Glad to find a mom&pop style, family owned Mexican restaurant, not in the heart of downtown. Prices are decent, they charge $1 for bottled water. My kids love the Jarritos fruit punch drinks! Good portion size of food.
