This was our first visit and last visit. We ordered the Royal Bulgogi and the small chicken tenders both were absolutely horrible. We upgraded to the fried rice on the royal Bulgogi box for a $1 extra. The rice was not fried in fact it tasted like plain rice with canned corn and peas added, zero flavor. The Bulgogi was was not marinated well and lacked flavor. The fried chicken thighs tenders were rubbery, stringy, and inedible. They replaced the thighs with bone in wings which were raw when I bit in to it. How did this place get such high reviews?

Bibimbob was authentic and the best one Ive ever tried in the US. Its huge, all the ingredients were fresh, and they have various sauces for that. Also chicken was great, crisp but soft inside. The bread and milk tea were perfect for desert after meal.

A really great Korean restaurant serving fast street food.
We came for a quick bite around early dinner time (4pmish) and really enjoyed the food.
The service was fast and great and they came to check on us a few times.
They have a small menu which is nice as it seems to focus on quality. Everything seemed to be made to order and was both hot and fresh.
We had the fries, a chicken sandwich and some kind of cheese that resembled a corn dog.
Everything was dynamite, absolutely amazing. We can’t wait to come back.

Used to be great food but it’s gone downhill. They are not honest about time to be ready. Told me 10 min, it’s been over 25 and I’m still sitting here. Wouldn’t have ordered had I known.
Just got home with the food, the sassy fries I ordered are plain fries. The soup is completely cold cause it sat on the counter for half an hour.
No respect for my time, couldn’t even get the order right after half an hour and served cold.

Absolutely loved my visit to Kimchi Box! Lia was incredibly kind and welcoming — her warmth really added to the whole experience. The tteokbokki had the perfect balance of heat and chewiness, totally addictive. And don’t even get me started on the edamame — smoky, savory, and the texture? Unreal. I’m definitely coming back!

Tried this place for the first time and it was pretty good. The wings were very good and the best part. The chicken taco was also good and the beef taco was decent. Bibimbap was also pretty good. The potato dogs were not however they had no flavor just sugar. Will go back and try more stuff.

This is the best place in town to eat. Every time I’m in town I have to stop by. The food and staff are amazing. The kimchi, kimbap, bulgogi, japchae and Korean sassy chicken are all delicious. The hardest part is always picking out what to eat. The drinks are also great! If you are debating on stopping in you definitely should!

We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and the barbecue chicken bibimbap (served in the hot stone bowl, my favorite way to eat it). Both absolutely delicious Chicken was cooked perfect, ingredients were fresh and paired super well in the bibimbap. Staff at this location were so friendly and fast too.
Updated Dec 2025: Still the best bim bim bop in Metro Detroit. I ordered it with the bulgogi and of course in a hot stone bowl. When you order with the hot stone bowl you have to be extra cautious to not touch the bowl while eating. But this makes the rice in the dish extra crispy and continue to cook as you eat it, well worth having to be cautious. The beef was tender and it was all delicious. The portion was huge and such a great value. Highly recommended this location and staff is so friendly too.
