We were in Bethesda, hungry, and the name alone felt like a sign. Chicken on the Run. How do you not stop? Turns out the chicken was not running from flavor at all.
I got the quarter chicken and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Juicy, flavorful, and clearly treated with respect back there. The coleslaw was solid and refreshing, and the black beans were absolutely on point. The kind you keep picking at even after you say you are full.
Everyone at the table was happy, which is rare and suspicious, but true. Plates were cleaned. No regrets were expressed.
So if you are on the run, or even if you are not a chicken, stop here. Highly recommended.

The chicken was so good! All the employees greet me with a smile on their face. The chicken is super well seasoned and the tres leches was so good! Not super soggy but just right and the correct amount to sweetness. These’s employees are amazing and true hard workers. 1000% must try in the Bethesda area!

Online prices need to be updated. Owner was not willing to honor their online prices and told me that it needs to be updated. That sounds like a company problem. I’ve never eaten here before, but because of the price of the family meal was the reason why I came only to find out the price I went up by almost 3 dollars. I still made the purchase food was great

Overall great place to check it out if you are in downtown Bethesda. The prices are pretty decent here. The chicken here is great and it’s not very salty. Great for those who want to eat healthy and not worry about too much salt. My favorite is the yuca fries.
I asked for special order for the crispy yuca fries. Honestly, this place has the best crispy yuca fries I have ever tasted it.
The staffs are very friendly and very polite.
The restaurant is well clean.
Parking might be hard in the busy hours, so it’s best to parking on the side of the street or park in the parking garage. Definitely worth the trip to check it out.

I’ve been getting takeout from here for twenty years. What a hidden gem and what a great value for dinner. Best Peruvian chicken in the area for years! I can’t help myself with the yucca. Call ahead to order for takeaway. They have a few dedicated parking spots immediately out front but there’s also a parking garage right next door. You will be in and out in minutes.

So good! I had the steak stir fry. Very different from an Asian stir fry. The sauce was rich, the steak was tender, and the fries were great for sopping up the sauce.

Realest most authentic review is mine. I dont eat nothing other than home cooked meals. I lie to yall not this the best food i had probably ever. I been eating here for two years my job was right next door then my site moved like 7 minutes away. Hear me out though i been eating here for two years and im just reviewing bro the food never got worse its always on point. i wouldnt lie to yall the owners are literally the best people. I live like 30 minutes away if i lived closer they would take most of my money. Im literally apartment hunting as i speak right now and i was considering moving closer here .
