Anytime I am near Mt. Pulaski, I will make a stop at Pizza Man for a meal. Every element of this pizza is solid and delicious. Good pizza takes time and this is freshly made with real ingredients. It is so easy to place an order ahead of time for pick-up. The restaurant overlooks the square, where a courthouse in which Abraham Lincoln practiced law stands if you want to dine-in. This place is busy for a reason!

Absolutely astounded by how good this place is! We were in town for the fireworks with time to kill and made the great decision to stop in. The young lady that served us was personable and well articulated. The food great! We got cheese bread and sticks as well as me getting the meatza and the old lady getting some veggie pie. Both were great! They were very accommodating when we cut our dine-in visit short to go see the fireworks and we were on our way promptly!

Pizza is great, one of our family favorites! Salads are simple but also fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable. Service is sometimes slow (often there is only one server who also has to bus tables) and food prep always seems slow. If you go with plenty of time, the food is worth the wait.

Pizza was great but the servers were not attentive at all. I observed one couple upset trying to get the staffs attention to cash out. The girls were all sitting down having personal conversations and eating. I felt bad and asked the couple if they were ready to leave. They said they had been waiting a while. So I went to the front and got them help. Then the girls snickered and acted as if I inconvenienced them to help the couple. Again great food. Terrible customer service.

My first time eating here. Service was slow. Other employees standing around they could’ve been helping. Waited forever to get drinks. Saw server using bare hands to make a salad, wiping her hands on her pants. Filling drinks and going back to prep food. Took over a hour to get food. Waited and waited for refills. Definitely not a good first experience. Probably won’t be coming back. Butttt the thin crust was great.

Food is absolutely amazing! We had the bread sticks and BBQ Chicken thin crust pizza.
However, our server wasn’t very personable.
Only accepted forms of payment are cash or check (?!?!?!?). ATM doesn’t work, so my boyfriend had to drive down to the not our bank ATM to pull money out.
Great food isn’t worth this much trouble.

Best pizza in Central Illinois. The only downside you should know about is they are not fast. Be prepared to wait and enjoy being with your family and friends while your food is prepared. Having said that, it’s always, ALWAYS worth the wait. Pro tip: order way too much and take home delicious leftovers.

The food is amazing! Nestled on the quaint square in small town America, this family owned pizza joint is a treasure. We had a large group, with multiple orders and the service was seemless. From drinks to dessert out servers were attentive, the food was great, and the atmosphere is light and fun! The Pizza Man is over an hour away from where I live, but we are going back at least once a month. 🙂
