Fresh, flavorful, and full of aloha!
Pau Hana Poke is hands-down one of the best poke spots I’ve visited in Hawaii. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the variety of poke styles. I loved the option to mix and match sides.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience feels authentically local. It’s a small shop with limited outside seating, so it’s perfect for takeout. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re in Kona and craving poke, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be back!

This poke is so good! It’s a no-frills place where you get your poke to go (there are benches out front and seating around back). You can order a combo or by the pound. The poke is super fresh and flavorful. I love getting the combo but I also like to add an additional flavor on (that is per pound but can be added to your order). The price point is great and won’t break the bank. Service is fast, thorough and friendly.
There is some parking out front on the street, but it is somewhat limited (especially if it’s a busy day). You can go down the block either way for more, but most folks are getting their food to go, so also fine to wait for someone else to come out.
Highly recommend checking this out (especially if you’re visiting- it’s on the way to or from the airport).

Excellent poke that I need to review!! We got this place recommended from our great day tour guide, Jason from Hang Loose. We had 5 days on the island with packed full schedule and stay in Waikolao village which is about 30 mins north of this place. But we still manage to have to come back here after the first try. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We bought poke-only option and it was worth every penny. No seat, no problem. That was made up by the very reasonable price and excellent food quality. It’s the place that I will remember to go back if we have a chance to go to Big Island again!

The freshest poke on the island. Plenty of options and great sides making it a combo platter. We went back several times in the week.

Great poke! We got here right before the lunchtime rush so there were a lot poke still available. The staff are all friendly and kind, if you are not sure what to pick-you are able to have a taste. There is no seating inside. However, outside they do have benches you can sit and enjoy your food. The portions are fairly large for the price. By the time we finished our food-there was already a long line that had formed. So go early for more choices.

Really fresh poke here! We had the baby octopus poke — so tasty and perfectly chewy. Added some seaweed salad and kimchi on the side, both were great. Also grabbed a little Shoyu Ahi by weight, super fresh and flavorful. A nice spot to stop by if you’re craving poke during your trip!

Great poke spot in Kona, conveniently located “on the street above Costco”. I ordered the spicy tuna and it was excellent—super fresh fish with great flavor and just the right amount of kick.

I got one scoop with two sides (seaweed salad and mac & potato salad), served over white rice with dried seaweed on top. Brown rice is also an option, which is a nice touch. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and very satisfying.

At $15 for the full bowl with sides included, it’s a solid value for the quality and portion size. Simple, fresh, and delicious—exactly what you want from a poke spot. Highly recommend.

The food was divine! Everything tasted so fresh and light. My only complaint is that seating is a bench outside. I wish there was a table. Bonus points for the staff: my husband dropped his bowl before his first bite and they replaced it for no charge without us even asking. Totally recommend checking them out!

We were looking for some good poke when in Hawaii, and we found it! Just a bit off the beaten path, but so worth it.

Several selections of preparations/seasonings, and sides. All incredibly fresh.

No seating inside, but there are some tables outside.
