Gossip in the Grain Taphouse is a neighborhood bar with a casual, friendly, blue collar vibe. Their food menu is limited but there’s some notable offerings. Their Gossip Smash burger ($10) has two 2.5 oz lacy edged smash patties with two slices of cheddar pickles and Gossip sauce. I went with an Oklahoma which is a Gossip burger with onions. I’m not sure what Oklahoma has to do with onions but it tastes really good. Sometimes they have a special burger. The fried cheese curds are on point and addicting.
Gossip in the Grain uses the Digital Pour system so you can geek out on what’s on tap and other info. Gossip has 28 beers, ales and ciders so you’ll most likely find one to your liking.
Gossip is in the Safeway parking lot next door to Felony Pizza. They don’t have a website but there’s a Facebook page but there’s not much info. It seems more like a word of mouth local joint. But it’s a relaxing place to stop for a bite and a cold one at a reasonable price on the way home or while shopping at Safeway. First visit and we sat at the bar with a few others. Karen was friendly and great to talk with. Beer and cider selection was solid, clearly displayed, and affordably priced 16 oz pours. Like they always have RPM. Above average food menu. Fried cheese curds were a standout. We grabbed pizza next door and made it a full date night. We found our go-to neighborhood taphouse. Highly recommend.

This is the best taphouse in Vancouver. Josh is the best. He’s always paying close attention to his customers. He’s got a good selection of beers, and he’s always got at least one barrel-aged option on tap #18 (thanks Josh). But be prepared to pay. #18 is never cheap. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and inviting. There are a couple TVs and the music playing in the background is always on point. My favorite place. Check it out!
