I do love this place but the air conditioning could be better. It’s a bit stuffy. The female bartenders are friendly but not engaging unless you’re a male. Otherwise it’s a nice place to play pool and have a few drinks.

The Bar Strixe inside the Morgan Hill bowl is a pretty cool bar. It’s definitely a locals bar. A lot of people who bowl league and just a bunch of regular drinkers. They have karaoke a few nights. They have a couple of pool tables and dart boards. They have a popcorn that’s self serve. Decent place to hang at night.

Karaoke Saturday was an hour late getting set up and the DJ didn’t have a clue about 60’s or 70’s music. Out of 30 plus people only a couple people sang 1 song. The DJ didn’t seem to want to be there and didn’t encourage the small crowd to sing.
Thursday is also karaoke, hopefully that’s better. Friday is strictly DJ. Start at 9 pm if they’re on time.

I used to love this place. But the staff has changed over the years. One female bartender is terrible, she fusses all over the men who flirt with her and ignores the women. I waited at the bar and kept trying to get her attention. I finally had to yell at her. When she came over she gave me attitude, like I was bothering her

Just to the side of Strixe is Betsy’s Restaurant. This is THE SPOT for breakfast in Morgan Hill. It’s small, but this place is extremely efficient. Portions are hearty, and everything I’ve ever gotten here, including special orders, have always been perfectly cooked. The added bonus of a menu that’s reasonably priced, makes this place a favorite for the locals who know.
