Awesome steaks, prime rib, and the best crabcake I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, the staff extremely friendly, and the owners were awesome. We finished off with a Cantaloupe Cream desert whish was amazing. I can’t wait to go back!

Jumbo crab cake, $30, was a vast disappointment! We knew it had no filler but come on! Throw loose crab meat in a tin with roll and slice of pickle and tomato, and call it a Jumbo Lumb crab cake? Music and outside was very nice. Crab soup and wings wete very good. Had to place our orders for food and drink at bar so really no table service.

The food was delicious. The lump crab cake is some of the best I have ever had. You have to order the baked pineapple; it’s divine. Some evenings they have live music and the restaurant is right on the water.

My husband and I have been coming to old Saltys for a long time now and it never disappoints. We absolutely love the food, atmosphere and staff are always so kind. The fresh rolls, crab cakes and crispy Brussel sprouts are to die for! Can’t wait for our next visit.

Food was good. But presentation was meh… diner plates. Maybe because we were 2nd table on a Sunday in a wintery mix?? Server was friendly. Had scrab nuggets. Snakefish bites. Oyster poboy. I will try again maybe in season.

WOW! I do crab cake reviews for my youtube channel and have to say….this was one of the best crab cakes we’ve ever had! Jumbo lump and fresh meat! Staff was very friendly, food came out when they said it would. I would highly recommend going there. We’ll be back for sure.

It’s a bit pricey but what a great place to be. Staffs are so friendly and extra nice, more like a friendly neighbor. Food was so delicious! Everything that we ordered were so tasty and delicious. Crab dip was so scrumptious, boiled Seafood Plater was so juicy and tasteful, seafood nacho was so full of seafood, crab cake was one of the best that I’ve had… Kids had so much fun playing games and we all enjoyed the scenery. What a beautiful place!

I really wanted to give Old Salty’s 5 stars. It was a seemingly fun place with a lot of character. And it turned out the food was amazing. Ordered the crab imperial and my wife had a crab cake and the were all Jumbo lump deliciousness! The service was just ok and what was a little disappointing was the wait time for our food. Over an hour and not even an appetizer. So that was tough with extended family (and 2 little ones) there as well. They did give us an appetizer that came at the very end of the meal for free and did apologize. But it was hard watching others who had arrived after us being served before us.

Going to Old Salty’s requires commitment because it is definitely not on the way to wherever you might be going, unless your destination happens to be Hooper’s Island. If you haven’t visited that part of Maryland before, it is a worthwhile trip just to see what the islands and marshes look like.
The food was very good. I had a crab cake, which some may say is a little expensive, but it was better than most that I have had and overall it was well worth the price. There was live music when we went (80s cover band called Fast Times), which we enjoyed. I don’t know what to say about the view and the sunset other than it was amazing.
