I recently checked out Mikomi Sushi and it was such a fun experience! One of the coolest parts is that they have a robo kitty delivering the food to your table. It definitely adds a unique and cute touch to the dining experience.
For lunch, I tried their omakase set, a cozy bowl of tonkotsu ramen, and a giant crunchy roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. The omakase was a great way to try a variety of sushi, the ramen was rich and comforting, and the crunchy roll was huge with the perfect crunch.
The restaurant itself has a really pretty ambiance—clean, modern, and great for a casual lunch or dinner.
Another plus is that there’s a parking structure nearby with 90 minutes of free parking, which is super convenient for Santa Monica.
They’re also running a 10% off promo: just post about your meal on your Instagram Story and tag @mikomisushisantamonica to get the discount.
Overall, good food, cute atmosphere, and a fun dining experience. I’d definitely come back!

Delicious!!! Especially if you’re on a keto diet or similar like the person I went with.
My photos don’t really do the food justice. Absolutely delightful.
We also got a wonderful fish dish and several veggie dishes – it looked so good I dug into the fish before taking a photo haha

Came in on a Sunday afternoon when they opened and was seated right away. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Very modern and clean. Straight to the food – hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve had in Santa Monica! The seafood is fresh and the pieces are very generous. Price is very reasonable for what you get. They even have happy hour and drink specials too. They just launched their new Izakaya menu that’s great for finger food and sharing. Servers were also great and attentive. A must-try!

Visited Mikomi Sushi in Santa Monica and had such a great experience from start to finish. There’s a parking structure nearby, which made parking surprisingly easy for this area and took a lot of stress out of the visit.
The sushi and food were very fresh, with clean flavors and great quality ingredients. Everything came out beautifully presented and tasted just as good — you can really tell care goes into each dish.

Came here for rolls, i left content. Some rolls are definitely better than others; so ordering good ones will definitely change the opinion of the customer. Pizza roll was delicious (normally called baked scallop roll lol.. nothing to do with pizza)! The tempura rolls were great too. Little disappointed with the crispy rice tuna roll; i don’t recommend that one. As for the price, I think it’s on the higher side. It does make me think twice since there are plenty of decent option around the pier for the same price. One thing I did like was their menu. It is very beginner friendly. Has picture for almost every roll, so people who’re not as familiar with some rolls can see what they’re ordering!

Stopped by here on a weekend and made it in time for their lunch specials! Decent sushi + portions for pretty good prices! Their happy hour menu is also pretty worth it if you can’t make their lunch special. The ambiance is nice inside and suitable for all group sizes (big/small) and you can go walk around third street promenade after!

First Date Guide
This is what Santa Monica has been missing! An affordable japanese resturant with a huge menu. My fiancee and I were able to get stuff from there izakaya menu + sushi with fat pieces of fish. We got their yakitori, a baked roll, nigiri and a couple other dishes. It felt like Japanese tapas! The waiter explain what some of the dishes since we were open to trying new things. It’s like we were back in Japan because the ambience and interior decor transported you there. It’s a perfect spot for a date night.
P.S. Parking was so easy! I found a spot at the structure less than one minute away walking.
HIGHLY recommend this spot for lunch date. Yes, they have bottomless mimosas too!

Mikomi was a short drive/medium walk from our hotel – the Sandbourne, which made it a great choice for dinner. I had been craving quality sushi but didn’t want to make the spend or drive out to Nobu Malibu from Santa Monica.
We ordered the Las Vegas (tempura), Eel & Avocado, Baked Salmon, and Kiss of Fire Roll. All were delicious in their own way, but my favorites were the Eel & Avocado and Baked Salmon rolls. The baked salmon was so fresh and had an amazing flavor along with the Eel.
The interior was nicely decorated for the holidays with a Christmas tree and decorations. One unique aspect of the dining experience that I haven’t seen at other sushi spots was Bella the robot who delivered our rolls to the table. We went about an hour before close so there was no wait and our server was quick and attentive.
