The food was good, the atmosphere was excellent with Christmas lighting decorations, I felt like I was at a lechonera in Puerto Rico. My second time there but first time for dinner and they didn’t disappoint with the food, service, or quality.

So it was my first and last time, to start of the lady taking order was i guess moody, secondly y order 2 cans of soda and was charged $6.18, come on now. I can understand prices are rising, i don’t have issues paying for food, but when you try to sell me a can that is worth maybe $1.50 and you charge me $3 come on, thats robbing me right there ‍♀️ So i returned them and she says there is no manager, so i said it wasn’t my problem that id like a refund, seconds later, a manager appears. I did got my refund but left very dissapointed. Besides 4 little sweet potatoes $6 dollars, like wth. Be reasonable, if you’re gonna charge $12 dollars for the rice and meat then lower the price on the soda. The pack its about $6 or $7. So selling them at $3 for me, it’s robbing period. The rice was a bit salty and the pernil didn’t have taste. I don’t think i’ll be visiting again. So dissapointed but hey there are always more lechoneras around.

It took over an hour before we got service but not before having to stop one of the servers to ask for beers then again had to flag another server to be able to order the food since the 1rst one never came back. Before 5pm they had ran out of morsillas, chicharrón de cerdo and pernil asado, the main reason why we went to a Puertorican Restaurant! The mofongo was cold, the carne fritas was ok- little small serving size. A 3rd server brought us more beers on a bucket, but had already opened every single one of them since “they didn’t have an opener”… even the ones that are hand open type. If you want to have some kind of conversation, don’t seat inside as the music is sooo loud that you can’t hear each other. Maybe I’m expecting too much. After all I’m Puertorican myself.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

The music was enjoyable, but the food was stale and the lady serving seemed to hate her job, being very moody; additionally, the bar didn’t serve drinks, with the exception of beer, as per the lady who attended after a long wait, which led us to leave and we won’t return. It’s just not organized.

Don’t waste your time coming here all the bad reviews are legitimate. Second we came in waitress was trying to rush us we ordered drinks and appetizers the appetizers took about 30 minutes to come out we tried to order pork which is in their name guess what there was none imagine. The food was bland fried to a crisp. Also music is extremely loud can’t hear the person next to you. One of the worst restaurants I’ve been to down here.

The 1st time we ate las morcillas were excellent. Today they were super salty on some spots. The rest of the food were on point and excellent. But the morcillas, that was a let down more when they are at $13 a pound.

Good atmosphere, delicious food. Had nice music, but were short staffed, only one waiter doing everything, drinks, cleaning tables, getting orders ready. We were a party of 12, my son got tired of waiting for their order to be prepared and cancelled it. Also only cocktail they had was Mojitos; no variety. Place has potential, but need more staff.

Loved this place. The service was nice, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was like being at home, Guavate style.

We really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately our experience fell short. Overall, we’d rate it a 4.7 out of 10.

First, the service was very slow. It took quite a while for the food to come out, and at the end, we were left waiting again just to get the check. The waitress seemed overwhelmed, juggling too many tables at once. After paying, we were left holding the card machine unsure of what to do because she had walked away again.

Another big issue was the music—it was blasting so loud we could barely hear each other talk. It made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable.

As for the food, it was a mix. My pollo frito was solid, and the rice and beans were flavorful. But my girlfriend’s chuleta was way too greasy and not enjoyable for her.

It has potential, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both the service and the overall dining atmosphere.
