10/10 La Cocina has become one of my favorite spots in Roseburg, I’ve never been disappointed. Everything is made fresh in the cleanest kitchen, pretty sure you could eat off the floor. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and there is something on the menu for everyone. They have a variety of fresh squeezed juices & Agua Fresca, fruit bowls, vegetarian options, and fresh Mexican dishes. My favorites: Chamoy Bowl, Chilaquiles, & Birria Quesadillas.

Don’t sleep on this place!!!! Just because they have a great vegetarian option doesn’t mean that the traditional menu is bland. On the contrary, the traditional menu sends you to your abuelas house and if it doesn’t, well that’s another story. Make sure you ask for spicy salsa to give your meal an extra kick of deliciousness!! Had the carne asada burrito and the mix of the rice, beans, and cheese I thought I was with my grandmother. Great atmosphere and fabulous food, will be stopping here every time I drive I-5. My daughter only wanted meat on her tacos, but the meat was amazing!!!!

Finally got to try this restaurant on my most recent visit to Roseburg. I ordered the daily special – Enchiladas Verdes, I believe. 3 chicken enchiladas in a green (verde) sauce, covered with cojita(?) cheese and sided with rice and refried beans. Everything was tasty, but none of the items felt heavy or overseasoned like some places seem to do, and the refried beans were unlike any I have had before! It felt like I was visiting my neighbor for a meal – fresh and made with care! The proprietors were gracious and friendly and welcoming, and even let me try a small sample of their birria beef. I know what I am gonna order next time I’m in town…… Definitely check them out!

I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant. The staff, first and foremost, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was the most authentic Mexican cuisine I’ve had anywhere in the county, and the atmosphere was relaxing and calming.
