I’ve been coming here for about a month now fairly regularly and I’ve gotten the opportunity to try just about everything on the menu.
I’ve had both the Karaage and the Katsu chicken and they’re both cooked to perfection you really can’t go wrong here either way. If you’re undecided get the combo plate like I did. No matter what you choose the food is fresh and flavorful and the service is great.
If you like good Japanese influenced chicken this is hard to beat. The owner is very personable and easy going. Don’t forget the small batch homemade style ice cream if you are in the mood for something sweet. A+ spot and highly recommend.

Kumakatsu is a wonderful food truck. The lady running everything was extremely nice and let me try their special sauce. It was sweet and delicious which contrasted well with tonkatsu sauce they had.
I only got a katsu plate, it was amazing! Cooked perfectly. Moist, delicious, and crisp!
My friend had a combo and said the karaage chicken was also a perfect as can be. He also had the potato croquettes which were very soft and extremely hot.
You can tell everything was made with love and care in every bite.

SO DELICIOUS! You must try the combo meal with yellow sauce! The karaage is so flavorful and you can tell it is made with dark meat. Both chicken katsu and karaage were perfectly fried and breading light and crispy. Service was very friendly and quick.

I was craving katsu today, very randomly. But it was fate I suppose, because when I stopped to pick up some delicious Hallow’s Pizza from the next door cart, Kumakatsu was open for the first time since I’ve visited that pod. I knew it was meant to be, and didn’t hesitate to order some katsu and a side of potato croquettes.
The croquettes were crazy soft with a perfectly crisp breading. I wasn’t used to the little veggies in them (pea, carrot, other things I ate without looking), but it was really tasty.
The katsu was everything you’d want, fresh and perfectly crispy and NOT dry, and the variety of sauces were fun to mix and match. The pickled onions were also delicious.
My boyfriend does not like katsu, for some reason, but he couldn’t help but stand at the counter and eat half of it. He kept marveling that he actually really, really liked it.
