I’m a big fan of Oyama Sushi in Morton. I had been here a while ago but I wanted to come here to compare with Oyama after being a regular there for so long. I came here the last couple nights for dinner and got miso, the octopus dumplings or shumai, and spicy tuna and salmon rolls. The miso soup was superb. Oyama’s is lighter on the dashi flavor but I don’t necessarily prefer either way. The dumplings were great. the fried octopus dumplings (takoyaki) were really tasty. pretty “heavy” for me though. difficult to finish all of them. The rolls were good. I can’t say they are on a whole other level vs Oyama. Just different. Sort of mushy. They were much spicier than most spicy rolls I’ve had which I appreciate. But I honestly think the Oyama rolls seem more fresh.
Everything about this place is really nice. Kind and formal waiters, beautiful furniture and decoration, nice dish presentation and dishware.
My only request would be to bring the lighting down to make the atmosphere more relaxed for dinnertime after sundown. I like to feel more secluded when I’m eating dinner at a place like that. A darker setting is just easier on the eyes in the evening and is more relaxing.

AMAZING little sushi spot. The spicy crab roll was awesome, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. A nice little break from the noise. The waiter was attentive, and the sushi came out very timely. Will ABSOLUTELY be back! I can’t wait to try more.

Best Sushi in Peoria! I have had sushi in Phoenix and Chicago, and this is as good as you can get there. My family shared Mango Rolls, Fried California Rolls, Shrimp Tempura Rolls and Tuna Cream Cheese Roll, all top quality seafood and tuna. And the ambience has a classic Japanese vibe, clean and well-maintained. The service is top-notch, fast, friendly and cordial, with drinks refilled in a timely manner. Overall, exceeded expectations!

All of the staff were friendly. They greeted you with a sweet smile once you come in. The miso soup was very tasty! Hot green tea is legit! And the eel rolls and appetizer (Dragon Fire) were the bomb! They told me they’re gonna add Ramen to their menu next month. We’ll definitely comeback here!

The food was delicious. I ordered takoyaki so my man can try it for the first time. It was phenomenal. The sushi was amazing. The miso soup was very good and so comforting. The staff was kind and friendly. When I go shopping in this center, I will always want to stop here.

This is a clean dim lit relaxing place for lunch. Miso soup was hot and had nice texture from the tofu. Service was good, waiter was attentive and read back our order to us.

Ordered hibachi and rolls to share. The rolls were very good but the hibachi was cold. The flavor was good but cold food is tough to eat.

When we walked in we were in awe of the scenery of the place. The atmosphere had a very welcoming source and the music was the cookie on top. I had ordered a Philadelphia roll and a side order of sushi rice and miso soup. I had just got my braces done and everything was soft and perfectly cooked definitely a place to check out on a date or if you just want a quick bite to eat. The service was quick for the amount of people working and it was perfect timing on browsing the menu and everything. Be warned this place serves you with chopsticks at first I did not ask for forks because I did not need to but I’m sure they provide forks if you are a non-chop stick user. The wasabi and ginger tasted fresh and authentic, and the booth seats come with comfort with a seating pad that really adds to the atmosphere.
