The Copper Pine

  4.4 – 19 reviews   • Restaurant

The Copper Pine is being reinvented under new owners as Midcoast Maine’s newest upscale destination restaurant, with reopening in May 2026. Once Point Lookout’s casual Copper Pine Café, the property is now undergoing a full transformation with an expanded professional kitchen supporting an ambitious international culinary vision. Located on Ducktrap Mountain, our distinctive octagonal building offers a 46-seat dining room, pet-friendly wraparound deck with outdoor seating, and elevated views of Penobscot Bay inside and out — unique among Northport Maine restaurants. The Copper Pine will offer dinner, Sunday Brunch, takeout, and catering, primarily showcasing the beloved global cuisines of Thailand, Japan, Italy, and coastal Maine seafood.

Clean and nice staff. Good menu choices.
I really would love it if there was no television and $2.70 for a 12oz. coffee is robbery.

I enjoyed a tasty cold cut wrap with with a side of handmade potato chips. It was a good lunch. I was impressed with the homemade chips. A place this unassuming could easily cut corners, but they don’t. I also tried a vegetarian chili on a cold, rainy day. It really hit the spot.
There was one guy staffing the place at lunchtime. He ran the counter and the grill. As the lunch crowd came in, he kept up with the flow of customers and didn’t lose his cool. I was impressed.

The employees aren’t friendly or personable but the food they make makes up for it! Every time my family has gone there, we leave stuffed because even if we’re full, we eat the rest of our food! It really does seem like homemade food. The prices are high, but again, for a treat a few times a year, the food makes it worth it.

Food wasn’t bad, but I’ve definitely had better before. It was really the only option we had though while staying at the resort.
