So they become Slot place more, only 2 tables left + some bar chairs. I came during the lunch time, because I checked the menu here and wanted a soup or pad thai. The lady told me here is the menu for now, and we won’t cook for you anything else now. I was really mad, but had no time to drive to another restaurant because of my limited lunch- time punches.
Please be aware when you go and what you want to eat!

The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the host kept interrupting us with random stories. He was speaking so long to other patrons to the point it took along while for him to come back with a check or refill our water glasses. I will try it again to see if he settles down a little.

I really like this place. I take the long way home just to eat here. The husband and wife team make great Thai food. The food really is as good as it looks.
The restaurant is clean- the bathrooms as well. there is a cool rooster picture In the ladies’ bathroom and a western tv show was playing. Watched bunnies and birds outside- it is a peaceful setting.
The owner will make nice conversation with you if you feel like talking. He is a history buff.
Recommend this restaurant especially if you prefer a quiet dining experience that isn’t fast food.

Food was delicious and super cheap! There was an incredible lunch special with some excellent curry. There are about six slot machines inside which changed the atmosphere but it was still nice and very empty.

For future people reviewing this place, the nice but slightly overwhelming gentleman who appears to own this place appears to be on the spectrum. So take into consideration in a smaller place like this he’s going to insert himself into your business & interrupt your conversation & not read your body language that you’re not interested. Food was OK, tables are set up weird to accommodate slot machines. It’s a one & done for us but maybe it just isn’t our cup of tea.

Pad Thai is not supposed to be spicy. Theirs isn’t. Just great savory sweet and a little bitter from sprouts. Also has a robust texture and mouth feel. Not at all slimy like some I’ve had. Tom Yum not on the lunch menu. They made it special for me. Some of the best I’ve had in 40 years of eating Thai.

By far the best Thai food that I’ve had in the Chicago area coupled with the fact that the prices are great and very affordable make the place more than worthwhile visiting. The service is great and very kind, albeit very talkative and talks about some random things. The food is made by a chef who is actually Thai and comes from Thailand, meaning the food is about as authentic as it gets. This place is frankly amazing.
