I get I ordered a pizza at 8 on a Monday night, but it took about 5 minutes for anyone to notice me waiting while the pizza gets cold in the kitchen. I also didn’t order a pizza salad. The pizza isn’t cut all the way, so all the toppings in the middle just slide right off. It’s not the worst tasting pizza I have ever had, but it was $26. The cheapest grocery store pizza is of better quality than the one I got tonight.

Came here for dinner with my wife and got the Western Burger, and she got the cheeseburger sliders. The burger was great, and the fries were a hit too. My wife thought the sliders were just fine, so she would have preferred to have good with the steak bites. Would come again.

This is a nice American food bar and restaurant. Mostly high table seating but several regular tables as well as seating around the bar. Menu is mostly pizza, burgers and sandwiches. Nothing fancy but it’s good food at a descent price. Plenty of large TVs to watch some sports while you eat. Takeout is also an option here.

Came for a drink and never got one. Sat right front and center at the bar and waited a good 15 minutes. No one greeted us. No one acknowledged us or let us know they would be a minute. They were too worried about the TV’s and watching the sports that were on. So we got up and left. It was not too busy at the time we visited. So no excuse for lack of service.

Food was fair. A bit too long in the fryer for the fries and onion rings. While taste wasn’t bad it wasn’t anything to get excited over either. Prices were typical and service could have been a bit better but staff was polite.

My son, daughter-in-law, & parents & I went on a Friday night. It was fairly busy, but we easily found a table. The food was GREAT! Four of us had burgers, & we liked that they were good-sized burgers but not so big we couldn’t eat it all. And the portion of the fries was perfect. Many places serve you mostly fries, but that wasn’t the case here. My mom had the fish tacos & she really enjoyed them. There were only two, so along with the chips, she was able to eat most of her food. Oh, & the prices, we felt, were EXTREMELY reasonable. We did see quite a few people walk out with pizza boxes so we’d like to try their pizza at some point. Definitely recommend Hen House to others!!!

So we went to watch Moorhead High School football play in the state finals. Figured the game would be streamed. It was but kept buffering and behind several plays. Pretty much unwatchable. Unsure why they didn’t use the TV broadcast. The employees refused to do anything. The whole place was packed and it was clear they were understaffed. Ownership needs to take accountability. It was obviously going to be a busy night and complete flop.

Menu is quite simple but has a lot of great choices. Typical Midwest bar food, nothing wrong with that.
It is a bit small so get in early

I was here twice in the past month on a Sunday afternoon around noon. The first time, it took about 6 minutes before I was recognized at the bartop, I ordered a short beer and a basket of waffle fries with their house dip. The server gave me a tall beer….whatever that is fine. Then out came the incorrect food item, sweet potato fries with no dip. Didn’t see the server for 15 min, so I just ate some and asked for my check. I did’t have time to deal with a correction at this point as I needed to be somewhere. Tried it again today, (second time), sat at the bartop again, and was ignored for 12 minutes, the owner or sunday manager walked by me twice as did one of their servers, didn’t ask to help at all. They were clearly understaffed so I gave it another 5 min and ended up leaving without ordering since i wasn’t being acknowledged. I won’t give them a third chance.

My husband and I ate at ‘Hen House’ for dinner on a Friday. It was not very busy. The patio was open but we chose to sit inside. We ordered wings and a pizza. The honey BBQ wings and ‘triple threat’ were a 10/10 for us! We received our food in a timely manner. Food was hot and our server checked on us frequently. I would recommend the wings and pizza. We will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
