Cool but relaxed Japanese eatery with a lengthy lineup focusing on specialty sushi & hibachi fare.

I ordered the shrimp tempura rolls and tonkatsu ramen. The moment I opened the sushi box, I knew it was a disaster — someone had drenched the rolls in soy sauce, leaving them sitting in a puddle, soggy, mushy, and literally falling apart. Who puts soy on the rolls? It’s a condiment and not a part of the recipe for the person in the kitchen. Duh.
Then came the ramen. If I wanted instant ramen tossed in warm dishwater, I could’ve made that at home for a dollar. They dumped a pre-packed ramen brick into a flavorless broth with a couple of sad greens floating around. Barely any meat, zero seasoning, no effort.
Absolutely disturbing experience. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.
The orders came very fast and were delicious. We loved the dinner box too!
Highly recommend this place
I enjoyed the ambiance and the food was delicious. I felt it was tasty and fresh, with beautiful presentation.
They have an expansive menu at great prices.
Excellent service but I think I was charged the full $9 for my drink even though mine was non alcoholic.
We have been ordering delivery since moving here and really love their Hama salmon dinner box. It’s delicious and so filling! We also like the sashimi combos and the rolls are really good & very fresh tasting.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a wide variety of sushi options as well as other Japanese and fusion dishes. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend time enjoying the presentation as much as the food.
That said, it’s not the cheapest sushi spot in town. The quality is there, but the prices mean we haven’t returned as often as I’d like. I genuinely like this restaurant and the people running it — it’s just that my sushi habits lean toward being more budget-friendly.
Still, for a special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to sushi that’s a step above the everyday, New Hama Fusion is a great choice in Plainview.
