On-site restaurant at the lodge. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

Went for breakfast got there early and beat the crowd.

Our server was nice.

The salmon Benedict was good, except the English muffin was not toasted very much and the food was not really hot when it was delivered to the table.

I LOVE this place! Located on the McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge property, the 20,320 Alaskan Grill is THE place to eat! I highly recommend the prime rib for dinner! Cooked perfectly and full of flavor, it’s so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. It is huge too. Best prime rib I’ve had in decades. The service is top notch with a high degree of attention being paid to guest satisfaction. Of course the views are amazing, so the atmosphere is impossible to match. For desert, the chocolate mousse cake ( or is it moose?! ) is phenomenal and so rich I could barely eat the whole thing!

I don’t know why people are hating on this place so much. We were greeted and sat right away, our server Jorge stopped by almost immediately and was very attentive. Food was average, some portions were a bit small. Photo is obviously the prime rib, sides were warm but not hot enough but the prime rib was great.

Terrible, not at all
What we expected. Having been at the Princess Copper river and Denali lodges which had excellent restaurants, this was hard to believe was same company. The Chicken Breast sandwich was wasn’t a chicken breast but rather a pressed chicken patty like from Costco. The Handmade Salmon sandwich was thin and clearly looked processed. The wings for $16 were five small wings! The salmon Caesar had about a 2oz peice of salmon ($16 extra) and was terrible, sent it back for chicken and got cubes chicken patty!

Terrible food!! The salmon dinner looked good and tasted good, rest was horrible!

A family of 10 had a great experience here. The waitress was very attentive. Food came out hot and delicious. Everyone cleaned their plates. I had the prime rib and it was amazing!

This restaurant was open for breakfast & dinner, and we tried both. Jeremiah took care of us at breakfast, and Grace took care of us for dinner that night. Both were friendly, efficient, and made sure we were happy with what we ordered.

For breakfast, we could not substitute or add anything not printed with that item on the menu. If we had had to eat here more than once, this would not have have been acceptable. So once was enough, even with good service. We had the skillet scrambled eggs with caribou, bison, and reindeer sausage with sourdough bread and delicious strawberry jam. We also had orange juice and cranberry juice. It was a good breakfast.

Dinner was overwhelming – in the proportion of food, not service. Grace was exceptional and made the dinner nicer than the food. Husband had the barbecue wings for his starter (outstanding!) and I had a half Caesar salad (more than enough). He had the 12” McKinley meat pie which would have been enough for both of us. Unfortunately it had a soggy crust (not crisp, the way he likes it) and it was too much food (ate only a couple of slices). I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes (not creamy, but hard) and I asked for no green beans (it would have been too much food). I ate most of the prime rib, but only a bite of mashed potatoes. We couldn’t take any leftovers with us – no fridge and no microwave. We had room for dessert – he had the Oreo Cream Pie & I had huckleberry ice cream. Both were very good!

Of the two experiences here, Grace was the best and the starters & desserts were the best!

The food was great, the servers were friendly. We were a group of 6 and it was impossible to seat us together so we split into 2 groups of 3. It seemed like most of the seating here was for 2s or 4s. Not much for larger groups (and I’d hardly call a group of 6 large). But the food was great, fresh and tasty.

Not much expectation but it turns out alright 🙂

Slow Roasted Prime Rib: thick steak, not much seasoning, perfect combination with sauce, beans are good too
Pork chop: seasoning with apple, would not call it tender but alright
Matsu wings: lemon favor, one of the best chicken wings I have ever had, highly recommend

This dining experience got off to a shaky start, A young lady with bright died red hair said that you would be able to seat me in just a little bit. I waited for 15 minutes and then approached the front desk and said is there was a little bit of an issue with seating. I was then seated in 50% filled dining room. However Angelo my waiter was able to turn night around his service was prompt friendly and genuine. The food came out promptly and was quite tasty. The Rao cheesecake recommended by Angelo was awesome highly recommended try it.

There wasn’t much to choose from at the lodge especially because they said one would have to make reservations in advance. Got the tundra chicken caprese, mixed green salad and the classic Caesar, both were sufficient and good, partner ordered Beer, forgot which one. Our server Ann was nice and brought my sister-in-law ice cream for her bday! Ambiance from their website – Experience 20,320 Alaskan Grill – named for the height of Denali and decorated in mountain-climbing decor with artifacts from actual Denali ascents. Choose from a list of appetizers and entrees that are sure to tantalize your taste buds!
