We were encouraged in on the street with “Great Mexican food”. Thinking we were going to a nice restaurant, just after we ordered the most horrendous karaoke started. Blasting away, so loud, horrendous singers, we couldn’t even talk whilst we ate our dinner. Ruined our dinner experience. We paid and left as quickly as we could.
The tacos looked great but were bland and boring, but the cocktails were good and the server was nice – she spoke little english, I speak little Spanish but we both tried and she was friendly.
Either decide to be a nice restaurant (the high prices suggest you’re a nice restaurant) or a tacky karaoke bar.
The architecture is interesting but atmosphere ruined by karaoke.

We came across La Pinche Cantina by chance and had a wonderful experience! The restaurant is beautiful and the quality of the food is excellent. Andres took care of us throughout the entire lunch, showing great kindness and professionalism, and paying attention to every detail

All round top notch experience! I have been to Pinché a couple of times and the food, the staff and the overall atmosphere is great. I myself am not vegetarian, vegan or gluten intolerant but have visited with people who are and they mentioned it would be nice to have a few more options, perhaps if the tacos, quesadillas etc where made with corn tortillas? This would at least help with the gluten intolerant people and make the tacos a little more authentic. This is a minor issue though as the people still had an amazing time and left very happy indeed! It’s always delicious and always great fun at LA Pinché Cantina! I would also like to give a special big thank you to Mauricio who always brings the best vibes and great service. The atmosphere is wonderful but it’s warm because you are in a tropical climate on an isthmus, so check your privilege! The staff is so so wonderful & accommodating if you need something & they don’t have it; they will go get it for you (like my cappuccino my waitress went down the street to get me). They have such talented entertainers who will blow your mind with their singing. Know they have the friendliest iguana, Lucas, cruising around to greet you and he helped me get over my fear of lizards with the help of my beautiful waitress. You won’t be disappointed unless you are a Karen who is always disappointed & that is kinda just who you are and your problem anyways!

We really loved this place and while it says it is not a restaurant, they serve tasty tacos and guac. They also have a pet iquana, Lucas, which is a nice touch.

Authentic Mexican restaurant, great music and great service! I arrived in the middle of the night and it was open! Everything was fresh and delicious. The tacos were a little mushy but still very tasty

Literally an amazing Restaurant and bar I close my wedding weekend here and it was so much fun. The karaoke was amazing and they have an incredible iguana who just hangs around the bar. I absolutely loved it.

After a brief online search for Nexican food we decided on here. The guy touting for business was very warm, friendly and quitd funny, what a great start I thought. We passed a few locals at the bar, all of whom seemed happy to see us which was nice and unfortunately, thats where the merriment ends.
Our waitress was clearly unimpressed by having customers to distract her away from her phone and her friends.
Now admittedly on our behalf, our Spanish is not the best but we seem to have muddled our way through for 2 weeks prior to this venue, every time without problems.
Both my partner and mysekf seemed somehiow to order at different times. A confusion between asking what things were to the waitress running off to deal with something else.
When my food arrived….man…it was bad! My meat was dry and bland, totally devoid of taste and it was a little bit like chewkng on slightly damp sawdust. Now the only saving grace was that the portions are also tiny so it wasn’t as if I had much of it to much through. Being as hungry as o was Idid finish it off even if my last 2 mouthfuls of minced whatever was mainky grissle.
I just couldn’t wait to pay and get out, I genuinely wanted to like the place, the welcome had initially been so kind and genuinely warm but ultimately – I’d not go back myself.
