I’ve been here several times, never for lunch, always for take-out since I don’t have time to sit down and eat. I order the same thing each visit, but somehow the price is different every time (sometimes more, sometimes less). Normally I was in and out within 2–3 minutes with a very filling portion—at least until they decided to switch to a “cooked-to-order as you order” table service style. Now I wait over 10 minutes for the same simple order and still pay a different price each time but receive less food.
On my last visit, an employee even offered me a free drink because she was embarrassed about how slow my order was. I didn’t accept, and when my food finally came, the portion was much smaller than what I had received in the past.
Later I learned this was just a trial run for the restaurant, trying to cater to lake weekenders with money who requested cooked-to-order meals instead of the quick and easy buffet. Supposedly they take every suggestion to heart and try to please everyone, but completely flipping the business model overnight is not a good idea.
Thankfully, it seems they’ve realized that, since they’re now switching back to their old ways—for Saturdays only. So hopefully, people like me who need to be in and out quickly can get back to that routine, while the lake weekender$ and church crowd can still enjoy their cooked-to-order meals on the weekends. God forbid they eat an egg that was cooked more than five minutes ago…
Summary:
Can’t speak for lunch but the breakfast food is very good, fairly inexpensive and you receive a large portion from the buffet.
portions are much smaller when cooked to order and wait is MUCH longer.
Pricing is never the same for the same item, buffet or not.
6/10 due to pricing and business model changes including portions.

I got take out today. I love their food usually! Most specially their beef tips and rice but today it was sooooooo salty you couldn’t eat it and usually it’s delicious! I called and told them about it . The lady that answered the phone said she would tell the back. So y’all be careful! It’s sooooo bad!!! That’s all that was said!

Good Breakfast lunch and also have some juicy handmade bacon cheeseburger if you don’t want anything off the bar you can get it made to ordered homemade burgers fries wings fried and grilled wraps etc… I was not disappointed..

3rd time we have been rejected. 1st time we arrived approximately 950am. We out of food setting up for lunch . (No approximate ready time) just leave! 2nd arrived around 1:00 buffet style bits and pieces no appealing food (dried out) and 3rd 9:30 am 9/12/25 waiting 7 minutes for waitress (she was very nice) 10/12 people were there already served! Brought me a tea, 2min later she told me that they were out of food! I left hungry again. You’re telling me that no flour,eggs pancake mix,even cereal. Really, my friends and family are quite large. Just like the other restaurant that was there before you. I don’t see you making it! Good luck with your other customers I won’t be back.

Service is cafeteria style. You stand in line, order from a posted menu, and they place portions of food on a plate which is on a tray. Then you pay the cashier and take your tray to an open table.
The food was ok. Sides were mostly meh, except the fried okra which was decent.
Entrees were just ok, nothing special except for the beef tips which received a good review.
You leave your plate on the table, and they come clear up after you.
I was surprised by the number of people who chose to have lunch there on a Friday. Maybe it’s a positive reaction after the closure of the previous horrible pizza restaurant in this location.
