We slept on this place for way too long considering it’s literally around the corner from home.
Our food and service were beyond any expectations. They have a decent vegetarian selection and definitely something to please anyone!
I had the flautas dinner platter and my wife had the spinach enchiladas. We ended with one of the best tres leches cakes I’ve ever had (and I’ve had more than a few ) and a Mexican Cafe drink that I’m definitely coming back to have more of.

The food was really good. Very fresh salsa and chips before you get your food. The servers were wonderful too, very friendly. Overall, Pitaya is one of the best Mexican food restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to dine at in the greater Annapolis area. I highly recommend!
Just wanted to add that although the restaurant is great, I paid about $95 for myself, my wife and son for lunch. To me, that’s too much money to spend again on lunch, so maybe I’ll come back here for dinner once a month or so.

We have lived in this area for almost 4 years and have driven by this restaurant many times. Today we had lunch there and if I’m honest, I am so sorry it took us so long to stop in! The restaurant is fantastic. House made Guacamole was excellent as are the Street Tacos and Enchiladas Verdes. The service was fantastic and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. We will be back. Highly recommend!

We wish we had found this restaurant sooner. Having spent a lot of time in Central America, I’ve been searching for a Mexican restaurant with options beyond Tex-Mex. Pozole, tamales, sopes, and more. Don’t skip this awesome spot (or the pozole)! We’re excited to return – this will be our new go-to! Pricing is very fair, ambience is casual, but nice, restaurant is clean and well cared for. The staff is extremely welcoming and they anticipated our every need. I was very impressed with their chef. Good work, Pitaya!

Returned to Pitaya for breakfast, and the server did not seem happy to see a customer come in to eat. She never smiled and seemed bothered that I came into the restaurant.
Enough of her, I came for breakfast, and this time, I ordered the steak and eggs with home fries. It was delicious and a perfect serving size. I also ordered a glass of orange juice, but it was served with ice. I’m not sure what that is all about, but I will remember to request my OJ without ice the next time.
With such a tasty breakfast, I wonder why this place is empty. I will definitely return, but hopefully, the server will at least smile a bit

Had a great Sunday Brunch at this lovely restaurant with awesome live music.
I had the guacamole with chips which was amazing and then the grilled marinated chicken absolutely delicious. My husband really appreciates the vegetarian dishes on the menu. Service is excellent, friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back soon.

We stopped in for dinner one night, and we’re so glad we did! The food was just wonderful, some of the best Mexican we’ve had in the area in the 20+ years we have lived here. The staff was very friendly, and the menu has a lot of great options. We will happily return and make our way through the menu!

Great staff. Very attentive and friendly and the manager came by to greet us and ask about the live music which we LOVED. Not too loud and played awesome covers! I really enjoyed the live musicians. The food was just “ok”. I got a dish with tortilla chips incorporated and when I received it, the chips were soggy but decent flavor, overall. Also, it took way longer than normal for the food to come out. Not what I expect at a Mexican restaurant but the atmosphere and service made up for it!

I stopped by for the first time because of the high google reviews. My experience left a little to be desired IMO, I was seated a few minutes after 2pm so the kitchen stated they would still honor the lunch menu as I explained this was my lunch. After some discussion the waitress still never showed me the lunch menu. We decided for my first visit here I would have the sampler, steak. It was not a huge meal and the meat was tough and not the most tasty one way or another, the cheese they cook with is good. I was never offered chips and salsa, my water glass was only filled once. I was charged the dinner price as I was informed later it’s the same price on the lunch menu. Nobody was mean to me, but nobody did anything more than necessary IMO, and some things they could have been much more helpful with. The lunch menu, looking at it later looked interesting. But it’s doubtful I will ever be back.
