This place looks exactly the same as it did when I lived in Brunswick in 1992–a literal time machine. I love it and miss it. I was a local pool player while going to Brunswick college and working as a landscaper on Jekyll.

If you want the best service, from the oldest bar on the island, come visit. Grants Washington apples are spectacular, If you’re in for a day drink, come visit Caleb and talk about music and movies. I would give more than 5 stars if I could….. Damion on weekends killing it!!

My friend and I found Murphy’s Tavern while on an afternoon/ day trip to St. Simon’s Island yesterday. We had a great time. Kaleb and Grant treated us great. We shot a couple of rounds of billiards. We will definitely go back next time we go to the coast.

My husband and I stopped in for a cocktail. It is a local bar that allows smoking. Met a bunch of great locals. Played pool and had a great time. The bartenders Caleb and Grant were awesome!

Coolest place on SSI just to hang out with a group and celebrate a birthday party. Had 12 of us and all the locals were awesome and partied down with us. The Bartender was great. They even had a WWII patron that we all got to thank for his service. A must visit location, even if you only go to SSI for the day.

While walking downtown waterfront shops, we wanted to get a beer and watch football. Nice dive bar that allows smoking (we don’t) you can smell it as soon as you walk in. Bartender was nice and spot on with our beers.
Have pool tables and darts to play, left after one beer. We couldn’t handle the smoke smell.
