Lola’s Deli – Main St (Elizabeth)

“Laugh Often. Love Always.”

More Than A Deli!
Located on US-20, Downtown Elizabeth, IL.

We ordered, “Rachel Sandwich,” – Turkey with 1000 Island, Sauerkraut and Swiss Cheese on Grilled Marble Rye Bread. The sandwich was crispy textured with perfect balance of fresh ingredients inside the sandwich.

We also ordered, “Signature Baked Pickle Soup,” – A creamy Dill Pickle Soup topped with homemade Croutons and Swiss Cheese, then baked to perfection.

Both dishes were made from scratch and it showed. Fresh ingredients were flavorful and delicious.

We had a chance to meet the owners. Both female owners who are friends decided to start this Deli in 2021. With ups and downs they’ve been able to change the business strategy few times and have persevered.

On your way to Stockton or Galena, be sure to stop by to enjoy friendly service, cuisine made from scratch and a retro atmosphere.

They offer good seating, tables by front entrance, as well as, additional tables in the next room. If you’re looking to play Slots, they offer a good size room with bar area.

Overall, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

This is a charming eatery that fits perfectly in this quaint,, historic town. Great food, atmosphere, and service. The grilled chicken salad, pasta salad, and dill pickle soup were excellent. Their homemade cookies made a great dessert to go, especially the lemon cookies.

Great place to eat for lunch. They have a cold and a hot vegetarian sandwich option (in photo) which is great. The decor and dishes are eclectic and very quaint and charming. Our server was fast and personable. Definitely worth a stop for a bite to eat.

One of the best reubens I’ve had! So delicious. My kids got tacos and a salad and enjoyed those. We even tried the baked pickle soup, which was surprisingly good! Definitely recommend stopping here. Cozy vibes, friendly staff and great food.

Wow…baked pickle soup…freaking amazing and the pickle pasta…so creamy and not overpowering at all…just the right amount of pickle flavor as well as real pickles in it. Hope we get back here soon to do more bird netting installations.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we stopped here for lunch. The sandwiches, soup, salads, and dessert were all great! The broccoli salad was my favorite thing. The lemon pesto tortellini was wonderful. It’s definitely worth a stop whether passing through or if you are from the area.

What a great little place. Stopped in on the way back home to Chicago. First and foremost, great hot sandwiches. Don’t sleep on the Reuben! It’s fantastic. The husband got the cheddar beef and he loved it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal, for me, was the Lime Cilantro Coleslaw — super fresh, not overly creamy and so bright with that chili lime flavor. I wish I had ordered a bucket of that to bring back home. We’ll definitely come back when we make our way in that direction again.

What a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The soup was excellent as well as the sandwich. I will be back to try more things on the menu in the future. The baked pickle soup wasn’t something I’d ever have thought I’d like, so glad I tried it.
