Well, I must admit. I wasn’t expecting the best burger I have ever had to be in Dove Creek, CO. But, it most certainly was. I mean, absolutely phenomenal. Also, if you love ranch, you would fly across the country to try theirs. Its full of fresh dill and simply exquisite. French fries are on point as well. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Great burgers and the French fries are phenomenal. Get the basket and share. Several burgers to choose from. Big menu and plenty of choices besides burgers. Great place to fill your belly before the parks or just passing through and need a great lunch.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. The space is nice and welcoming. The service was awesome. I didn’t really enjoy my burger. I ordered the cheeseburger special. It lacked flavor and wasn’t seasoned. I rate my burger a 2☆. My wife ordered the patty melt special with a side order of tater tots. The patty was lacking seasoning as well, but the grilled onions saved this sandwich. The tater tots were a bit salty and tasted like they were cooked in old oil but still held their shape well. My wife rates her meal a 3.5/5. Overall, I give this place a 3☆.

Great local spot, fantastic food and wonderful service! We’ve made a point to stop a few times while in the area. BLT and fries really hit the spot, and my husband’s pull pork platter was delicious!(so good, we nibbled before the pictures:)

$5 Burgers EVERY DAY?! Yes, it’s true!! Moreover, the Lunch Box does not ascribe to the same mediocrity as other establishments in Dove Creek: instead, it offers the ideal meal for locals and visitors alike. With juicy burgers, authentic baracoa tacos, and a hot sauce wall for the ages, this place is NEARLY too good to be true. But it’s not! Get there now!! And be nice to Candace because she is absolutely amazing.

If you ever find yourself anywhere near Dove Creek, Colorado, do yourself a favor and stop at The Lunch Box. Their $5 burger was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and exactly the kind of comfort food you hope to find on a road trip. Honestly, it was almost as exceptional as the service.
Bailey was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Even though I only stopped in while passing through, I’d happily make a detour just to go back. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home, even if you’re just stopping by once.

What an absolute gem in a small town! Delicious food, great service, very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Had pancake breakfast. Pancakes were large, but light and fluffy. Potatoes were perfectly cooked, eggs great, and bacon perfectly crispy. My wife had the Hatch breakfast sandwich and said it was delicious. Only disappointment is that we live several hours away, so we can’t eat here regularly. I suspect everything on the menu is made with care and tasty.
