The idea comes from a family, that’s why we name our restaurant Ohana, which means Family in Hawaiian. Ohana is where we started and how we treat our customers and employees. We are persisting on using fresh and high-quality ingredients for every meal we make. and moreover we offer catering services for any occasion.

Trying Hawaiian food for the first time I was excited to come here. Entering I was welcomed by Christina who I want to point out was extremely friendly and very professional! She helped me pick out the favorites and made sure I was taken care of with her good knowledge of the menu. I got the spam musubi and mixed plate meat with chicken and beef. The spam musubi was aesthetic and fresh. I actually loved it! The plate was great as well. Rice was well cooked and the chicken was thin and crispy which is how I like cutlets. The beef was nothing special. The Mac salad was very tasty with a tuna twist. The sauces with them were very complimenting as well. They offer numerous Hawaiian drinks which I downed. Overall I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Needed to pick up a bike in Oxford and thought we would eat at our usual but ran into Alumni Weekend. We were really happy we picked Ohana. The chicken Katsu was deliciously crispy and I opted to have the curry sauce which was not spicy and had a bit of a peanut flavor. My partner has the chicken BBQ which was super juicy, flattened chicken with a teriyaki flavor. The delicious surprise was the pasta salad which I would eat by the pintful. Drinks were canned (had free water) and a bit expensive but the Oates were just around $10 or so. We will definitely add this to our Oxford food list.

Giving it 5 stars because there really isnt a bad food item on their menu. Chicken Katsu is really good but a Loco Moco is really top tier. I get the 2 meat combo with fried shrimp and side of macaroni salad and thats my favorite by far. Really reminds me of being back in Hawaii this place so definitely love thats in Oxford!

Our first time visit today, and it was so good! I enjoy smoked meats, and the Kahlua pork delivered a great balance of flavor. We also enjoyed the Chicken Katsu curry style. I believe you can’t go wrong with any menu item here. My wife and I will definitely be back.

WOW! The service was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! I haven’t been to Hawaii in over 10 years and it definitely took me back. My sister just recently moved here from Hawaii about a year ago, I think this definitely reminded her of back home! I’m so glad we have this amazing option in Oxford!!

Casual spot for delicious food! The musubi is a must-try, it’s my favorite thing on the menu but everything on the menu is great! I drive in and out of Oxford frequently and the musubi is one of my favorite road-friendly meals on the way out of town. The bbq chicken is amazing and also a must-try, it’s a very fruit-forward bbq flavor which is unique and delicious. Definitely give this spot a try!

Ohana means family, but WELA means HOT and that’s what it is…it’s HOT in here! Yes, it’s summer in Ohio and there are definitely no Hawaiian trade winds blowing here. Twenty (20) minute wait in off season? I can only imagine what it’s like when the Miami University students are in town. There are two families in this restaurant…and that’s including mine. If you are in a hurry, you better e hoolohi (slow down)!
Sadly,the menu is also very disappointing. I was fully expecting to see a Schwann truck parked out back or my childhood lunch lady donning a full hairnet in the back because the food was reheated Salisbury-steak circa 1986 bad. In fact, there’s little authentic Hawaiian fare on the menu, besides SPAM.
The most refreshing part of the experience was the canned Hawaiian juice, but at $2.50 a pop it’s tempting to walk a block to the gas station and save 50%. Two stars because it’s nice to see something unique in this college town. But, seriously, it’s not good. I mean, not even one pineapple on the menu?
Aloha means hello and goodbye but it also means pity and grief. So, to sum up the entire experience in one word: ALOHA

Food is fresh and hot, reminds me of home. Cashier was very attentive and welcoming. All the food was good.
Tips: play an island music playlist, serve Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice.
