If you’ve got champagne taste but a beer budget, then this place is for you. Half bodega, half taco joint, this place screams Identity Crisis!, so you’ll want to visit right away 06/25 lest they go out of business. No, there is no longer any half-price taco special on Tuesdays, but with prices like this, who cares? BYOB with a liquor store a few doors away, the place only has seating for 4 people maximum, so it mostly survives on take-out. The carne asada taco was delicious with large chunks of charred grilled steak, and the barbacoa was even meatier, shredded beef braised in a sauce with a hint of cinnamon. The sautéed mushroom with corn and poblano was similarly juicy and exquisite, and the fish (baja style breaded and fried swai with cabbage and Chipotle aioli and tartar sauce) also paired inventive ingredients. The orange hot sauce packed quite a punch though the green one was a bit more palatable. Tiny cups of Haagen Dazs completed our meal. Bravo! We’ll be back.

Delicious food and amazing service! I always get the nacho chips with cheese and the fries with beef and cheese — sooo good every time. Everything comes out fresh and hot. Our server was super attentive and very friendly attitude. Domenica made sure we were taken care of from start to finish, which made the experience even better. Must go to!

Brand new eateries with a very small produce stand/store. Food was very fresh and light. Fish tacos were very light and flakey, so perfect. The 2 sauces are great and not overly spicy. Just simple and clean food.

Rude and prioritize Grubhub/Uber orders over walk in customers
I have been a regular customer since a while now and always tip even if picking up food. But the lady on Thursday evening was very rude. I was sitting in the chair trying to decide what bowl topping to order (it wasn’t even 1 minute) and she rush me to order, i said i need some time.
Her response was we are Busy so you have to order Right Now
Huh? I cant even look at the menu?
Ps. I was the only one in the restaurant.

I went to Pico Taco’s new location at 418 Baldwin Ave in The Heights today. I’m happy to have them in my neighborhood. The new location was clean and looked newly renovated. The person who took my order said they just opened at this location last week. We ordered two shrimp tacos, a mushroom taco (Thanks for having a vegetarian option!), and a fish burrito. I was very satisfied with all the food! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I moved here from San Diego a year ago and have been missing good Mexican food. If they maintain this quality and maybe add some soyrizo as another vegetarian option, I believe I will have found my favorite Mexican food spot.

Pico Taco is awesome. Great food and great service all at a super affordable price! When we were able to eat-in, the environment is a nice place to grab lunch with your friends or coworkers. The style is a southwestern, Mexican vibe. The food is made-to-order and made with love! I’ve never had a bad taco there. Also, the observe TACO TUESDAY and celebrate with half-off all tacos!
